The room was impeccably clean, had a great shower, a very comfortable bed, and the woman at reception was kind and very helpful. I was a hesitant to confirm my reservation, because it was a last minute trip and Hotel Régina is only a 2-star hotel. (This week in August, all the other hotels were fully booked!) It was, however, perfect for me. I’d definitely go there again.
Overlooking the port in Sète, Hotel Port Marine welcomes you in a modern atmosphere. The small rooftop swimming pool measures 3.4 by 20 feet and features panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea.

We stayed only one night. Location is walking distance to restaurants and center of town. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Staff was friendly. Water and pastries in the lobby in the afternoon. Room nicely decorated.

Lovely stay in Sete particularly in restaurant area by canal. We ate by the canal every day in different restaurants and all good quality.
I would recommend a visit to Sete and take in one of the boat trips to the oyster and mussel beds. We ate oysters every day -bdelicious !!

Enjoyed the waterfront and the tour of the lagoon ( Etang ) also the Paul Valéry museum and Sete was a good contrast to Beziers and Carcassonne where we had visited previously. All very good but very different.

Sete is a lovely city with lots to see and do.
Sete is a lovely city with lots to see and do. Great restaurants and if you love seafood, this is the place to go. Shopping was decent and the outdoor market was very nice with lots to look at. We took a boat ride on the canals to see the city from the water perspective and that was very fun. We ate at a few of the restaurants along the canal.

The closest cliff side beach is perfect but can be hard to find shade and you might want to mind the tide. The town offers great Italian food options or seafood. It's a great alternative to the more fancy and expensive coast east of Marseille. You're also close to beautiful roadtrip destination and short train to Montpellier for a more hip and vibrant restaurant scene.

Sète is a charming coastal town that offers a perfect blend...
Sète is a charming coastal town that offers a perfect blend of vibrant culture, beautiful scenery, and delicious cuisine. The town is nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the Étang de Thau, providing stunning waterfront views and plenty of opportunities for leisurely walks along the canals or beaches.
The local seafood is a highlight, with numerous restaurants offering fresh catches of the day. The lively markets and friendly locals add to the town's welcoming atmosphere. The town's unique charm is evident in its colorful buildings, bustling port, and the famous Mont Saint-Clair, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the region.
Sète is also rich in culture, with several museums, art galleries, and music festivals that celebrate its artistic heritage. The town is easy to navigate, and it's a pleasure to explore on foot.
However, it's worth noting that Sète can get quite busy during the peak summer months, and finding parking can be challenging. Additionally, while the weather is generally lovely, the summer heat can be intense, so be prepared if you visit during a heatwave.
Overall, Sète is a delightful destination that offers something for everyone, whether you're looking to relax by the sea, indulge in local cuisine, or explore the town's cultural offerings. I highly recommend visiting this gem of the French Mediterranean coast.

Nice port town with several beaches nearby.
Nice port town with several beaches nearby. Some really good restaurants in the town, but need to be careful to avoid some of the tourist traps on the waterfront. The Theatre de la Mer is a great place to visit if there happens to be a gig on while you're there. If driving, there are several day trips that are worthwhile taking in Montpellier, Narbonne, Aigues Mortes, Pezenas and many more. If interested in cycling, there are several scenic routes spreading out from the town, including one to Bouziges which includes flamingos on the route!

Small hotel (only 23 rooms) which is kept really beautifully and really clean. The staff were lovely and spoke english. I woke up every morning to the smell of warm croissants wafting up to my room which was wonderful. The breakfast was basic but all really good. I travel a lot and I have come to hate the fruit selection at usual hotels (dry watermelon, canteloupe and pineapple) so having kiwis, plums, grapes, bananas was very very welcome. They left local biscuits from Sete in the room and little chocolates too.
It is a few stops on a bus into the city of Sète , we had a car and was ideal to park up near hotel Free , , but not necessary to spent to much time in the town which is manic and beautiful walks near hotel and lovely beaches , restaurants, bars , on the door step , Room had a balcony where you could sit with a drink and people watch
The hotel fulfilled the basic requirements of a 3* hotel. It was clean and the staff were as friendly as one might expect. The view of the Port from our room was decent.
The place was very spacious and with a well equipped kitchen.
Nice shower and comfortable bed. A good option when travelling for work, instead of staying in a hotel.
