  • Hotel de la Gare

    Hotel de la Gare

Hotel de la Gare is located in the heart of the village of Severac, right opposite the train station and a 15-minute walk away from the castle. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Drinks were charged at normal prices rather than massively inflated prices we have experienced in other areas.

  • La Caussenarde

    La Caussenarde

Located in Sévérac-le-Château, La Caussenarde provides accommodations with free WiFi. The units have a fully equipped kitchenette with an oven, electric tea pot, and a microwave. Room was excellent, spacious and well-equipped. The pool is nicely located and the house is cozy. The host is very attentive and makes you feel very welcome. The breakfasts are the typical french petit dejéuner, so they were delicious. As a whole this b&b is the best deal for an Aveyron getaway, not far from Gorges du Tarn, Conques, Vallée du Lot, Rodez or Millau.

The hosts were very pleasant and they cooked a beautiful stew for dinner. We all ate dinner together with the hosts and other guests of that time which was interesting. The landscape around the area is nice but not much to do there.

  • Résidence le Clos des Chênes

    Résidence le Clos des Chênes

    Le Massegros

Résidence le Clos des Chênes sits on 4 hectares of woods and offers 15 self-catering chalets with free WiFi. Free private parking is available on site. The entire property seemed nearly brand new! The property is charming and quiet and the shared area with swimming pool, sauna, and hammam seemed new and very clean as well. The individual homes were spaced out nicely, and we did not hear noise from anyone around us. We arrived between the normal check-in times, so we did not have to make special arrangements for key pickup, and the woman was quite helpful. There is also a nice welcome/information book with shopping/dining/excursion possibilities as well as contact numbers for doctors in the area, just in case there is a need. On the drive in, we saw the tennis courts, mini golf, and a small playground for children (though we did not use any of those things during our stay). The kitchen was fully equipped with kitchenware, and baking/stovetop cooking dishes/pots/pans/utensils. There was an oven, induction stovetop, water kettle, coffee maker, and a toaster. A quick trip to the Intermarche Super (12 minute drive to Sèverac le Chateau), and we had food to stock the fridge and basic necessities such as dish soap, hand soap, paper towel, napkins, facial tissues, and extra toilet paper. Though the town of Le Massegros is small and quiet, it is quite charming, and just a short drive away from all the area has to offer. Though we only stayed two nights, we easily could have been comfortable staying a week or more and taking advantage of the property's location to the sites (Sèverac le Chateau, Castelnau Peygarols, La Couvertoirade and Sainte Eulalie de Cernon, etc.).
