This welcoming and cozy hotel features an outdoor swimming pool and is located high up in Souillac, 220 yards from the train station and half a mile from the historical center of town. The owner, Fabien, was nice in a reserved sort of way. The hotel was close to the train station, but about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the town center. It was quiet. It is near a large supermarket. Souillac has an interesting Museum of Automation.
This charming, traditional French hotel is nestled in a quiet, peaceful area in the little town of Souillac. The hotel offers comfortable, well-equipped accommodations and good facilities. Room was pretty big, new and very clean. Quality of the stay was definitely beyond our expectations regarding the price. Would recommend to go there for sure.

The Hotel de la Promenade is located in Souillac, 17 miles from Sarlat-la-Canéda and 0.6 mi from the Dordogne River. Nice friendly staff and they organized a taxi for me.

Souillac is a beautiful town, buzzing with life! The "old town" is lovely and well worth a visit, especially on Fridays when the market is on. Souillac has a lot of restaurants and bars, music on the streets, festivals...etc. It is situated on the Dordogne and you can rent a canoe or kayak and enjoy a few hours on the water. There is a water park for a day of fun!
Quiet old village with flower-crammed balconies, fortunately about a mile away from the noisier camp-sites by the beautiful Dordogne. The new town has a lot of bars and reasonable restaurants and the stonecarving in the church impressive if you like that sort of thing. Good boulangerie and pleasant bar/restaurants closer to the quieter end of town!
I love this area. Nicely situated between Rocamadour and Lascaux II -- two of my favorite historic sites. Great opportunity for hiking, kayaking, hot air ballooning, fishing, swimming, and exploration. The area also is known for its wine and fine food -- what's not to like?
Souillac is a small town that lacks the beauty of the smaller villages in the region but the location is perfect for day trips. The region is so full of beautiful sites that we picked the area for its appropriate location. Any shortage of beauty was more than compensated by the residence in which we stayed.

Great hotel, proper French building with high ceilings and big windows, great location and views. The pool and garden are were great and there is a lovely bar/restaurant just across the street where we ate both nights and had fab food. As soon as we unpacked and had a cool drink we felt relaxed. Breakfast was good, nice croissants and some choice. The beds were very comfy and if we kept the windows open all night it did cool down nicely. Great parking although access is a bit tight it felt very secure.

Yes the hotel was old fashioned but it had all of the facilities you needed and the bed was comfortable. The owners were pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was good. Lovely location with a gorgeous outside terrace area and plenty of other bars & restaurants within a few minutes walk. Plenty of free on street parking available nearby.
