Valensole
Located in Valensole, 17 mi from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, les costebelles provides a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi. Beautiful oasis, but a steep hill if arriving by bicycle, and it's worth the effort.! Great pool, wonderful hostess, comfy rooms with yummy local shower gel. You can also buy drinks, wine etc. Wide and varied choice for breakfast. Would definitely recommend and use again.
Valensole
Set in a 17th-century château with manicured gardens, this B&B is located in the Verdon Regional Park. Meals are served in the former wine cellar and guest rooms feature period furniture. The property is beautiful and the location is right in the middle of Valensole town. I was a bit scared about the curfew when I read some reviews, as we're photographers and had to get in and out late, but it was not an issue. Whoever wrote it was simply didn't ask - there was a code for the gate and you can get in and out as you please. No AC was also not a problem, as nights were slightly cool and if you open the window you could listen to birds in the morning.

Featuring free WiFi, a seasonal outdoor pool and a terrace, Les Terrasses de Valensole offers a B&B accommodations in Valensole, 30 mi from Apt. Free private parking is available on site. Me and my wife stayed in four different B&B's and this one was the best. France is obviously famous for their insufficient breakfast (at least this is what we North-Eastern Europeans think about it), but in this B&B breakfast was actually very good (not what I'd eat at home, but still we were leaving for the day FULL). The host was super nice, helpful and flexible. Also always on reach. As we understood he made the house and everything with his own hands, probably because of that everything in this B&B is always close to perfection. It's obvious he's putting lots of effort to all aspects of the stay - from little details and decorations, to food, comfort and cleanliness. HE ALSO SPEAKS PERFECT ENGLISH!!! All in all, this was one of the best stays were we realized we won't ever again stay in "IBIS Styles" sort of B&B's and will be looking for places like "Les Terrasses de Valensole". For closure - if we'll ever be somewhere in 150km radius from this place, we'll be booking a stay here 100%, cause extra kilometers is really worth it. Thank you!

Valensole is a small village on the edge of the plateau. You can see this in 2-3 hours, but it's a good starting point for a regional discovery. Great location for hikes, bike rides, (easy) mountain bike rides and lakes in the neighbourhood. Close enough to thee Verdon (30km) to visit, unless you are a rock climber and will want to be closer to this. The village has some smaller supermarkets and local cafe, butcher (strongly recommended!) and baker.
Very nice, calm village. Warm people. Many restaurants and Cafes. A nice fountain in the middle of the village and a very good Boulangerie/patisserie that offer a variety of Tasteful french cakes and desserts.
When you say Valensole, all what you mean is part of heaven on earth The lavender fields and the sunflower fields beside each other make a wonderfull view and the smell ohhhhhhh. We ate at Brasserie Du Plateau very tast And dont forget to buy a pizza baked in wood oven from Sergio (friday and saturday)
Definitely worth to go esp in Lavendar season. It itself is a quiet & relaxing town, but the way towards there are wonderful. Crossing boundless lavander & sunflower field, the best in Provence area.
my favourite place was the village of Valensole, I had my meals at a small restaurant in the village newly opened since July this year. so sorry I can not remember the name right now, it is next door but one to the sports bar, on Avenue Segond, opposite the fountain, the staff were lovely and the food was very good.
Valensole is a tiny little village. Its inhabitants are sweet and evrybody is gentle. We went there to enjoy the lavander boolming but it was too early. Anyway the place and the experience has been great so I cannot imagine what it should be at the right time of the year when everything around is supposed to become violet! AMAZING!
