This is the kind of old-style warm family-run hotel where even on a one night stay you feel at home and genuinely welcome. Everything was great. The check-in and checkout were smooth. The property is quirky and interesting, and sited on the outskirts of town in a beautiful forested area. The triple room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The check in and check out where smooth. The restaurant food was delicious. They were also genuinely dog-friendly. The dog could even sit with us at the restaurant.

The hosts were very friendly, welcoming and spoke excellent English which made it easy to explain our later than expected arrival. We also had a very good vegetarian dinner. The village, the outside of the hotel, and the downstairs of the hotel were full of character, while the bedrooms were modern and comfortable.

Everything! Friendly staff, good food. We’d booked a normal room but our’s was wonderful, on the top floor with two beds, lots of old, wooden panelling, a table with chairs under a window overlooking the heavily wooded valley across to the château. We even had a balcony. And they have an indoor swimming pool and sauna. We were on a cycling holiday, but next time I would stay more than one night!

Far into a forest, feels relaxing. Outdoor pool and indoor pool. A few saunas. There weren’t many people when we stayed there which was nice.
