Our philosophy is to create a hotel which fulfills our idea of the perfect place to go and stay. This perfect place, whether restaurant or hotel, should be entirely in sympathy with its surroundings. The place is amazing. Good breakfast. Very clean and comfortable rooms.

A nice small town north of Glasgow within easy commuting distance to much of the Trossachs area and Loch Lomond. Good for those that like sightseeing, walking and hill climbing. Not a lot of eating places out with the hotel but that may have been due to season (Sept) and the problems of COVID 19. Drymen about 4 miles away and Callendar about 12 miles away. Good roads for driving enthusiasts.
Ok. Hotel lovely. Check in a bit slow at the desk. The visit was so good I would go again in a flash. Some may find the appearance dated but it's not inside, it's traditional. Our apartment was huge and we had a sauna in the bathroom. The kitchen was completely equipped. This place is about travelling to a lovely Scottish location that I can only describe as beautiful.
Lovely visit to Aberfoyle. Had lunch at The Faerie Tree Inn - great food and service. Lots of small local shops with a great selection of items to buy. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely return.
we were there out of season (start of feb2020) so my top tip is that all the hotels & pubs will stop serving food at about 2030hrs, so eat early. The local Co-Op has everything you will need & theres some great walks near by
Lovely scenery, walks and lots of hills to climb. Up at the Lodge in the Queen Elizabeth Forest you can think about climbing the hills and enjoy a coffee and read the paper. You can also learn about the wildlife and see the videos of the local animals. If you are a complete fruitcake you can have a go on the "Go Ape" ride and zip through the trees.
Spa needing work done, getting tired and worn out. Social areas are excellent, great for relaxing and meeting new people. Rooms very clean, bathrooms need some maintenance. Onsite staff are an absolute pleasure from front of house to cleaners.
