Lots of variations on offer, need another coffee machine - busy so kept needing filter and water replacement. Staff were slow to respond - not attentive.

The cottage had everything needed for either a romantic getaway or just to relax in the heart of the lakes. The price was reasonable.
I brought food and supplies with me, so cooked and ate in most evenings. everything was provided to make full use of the kitchen.
I like to walk so pretty much once arrived and car parked up, walked where ever i needed to go. beautiful landscape around, and nothing to far away for a 30 minute walk. great to get out in the fresh air to relax for a stroll.
The cottage is located up a long gravel track. not the best for a low sporty car especially during the wet seasons. however in the summer. wasn't too bad.
Lovely location , comfortable cottage , lovely facilities, clean .
We ate in the local pub (lovely food and friendly ) and walked locally (Stunning views) .
The river and brodge opposite is so delightful

I was worried about the parking, but it worked out really well. Rydal Road car park was busy but I easily man aged to park and pay for 24 hours. Also parking near the apartment was free from 6pm till 10am.
Ambleside itself was quaint with a variety of interesting restaurants, and shops, and a short distance to places of interest! Loved it!!!

Beautiful village although it was very crowded over this weekend as there was a marathon taking place on the Sunday along with pubs all full watching either the Wimbledon final of the England v Spain European football final.
Also great restaurants and cafes in throughout Ambleside and neighbouring villages in addition to excellent walking and scenery options all around.

I stay in Ambleside every year probably the last 20 years and I would never stay any where else for a holiday. Ambleside is central for most of the mountains which I hike up I have definitely mentioned it to other people who enjoy hiking.
Don't really leave reviews but I think the briery deserved one. We were greeted by gentleman on the front desk who was very welcoming from the get go. Nice quiet little bar where the bartender was very helpful regarding food arrangements as we had our dog with us, regarding the dog friendly hotel they do so much more...they accommodate for the dogs with a welcome bag and even arranged dining in the bar area so you're dog could come along. Great stay!
Location is excellent at the top of Lake Windermere. We had a view of the lake from our room so very pleased with that. Room was adequately spacious and comfortable. Staff always very friendly and available. Over all the hotel suited and provided all we required.
Dog friendly hotel. We don't have a dog but appreciated the restaurant separating those with dogs from those who don't.
