This family-run hotel overlooks Lake Windermere and has free parking, free Wi-Fi and fine food. The shops of Ambleside are a 10-minute stroll away. The location was great! The room was lovely; staff very friendly, and the breakfast was absolutely wonderful!!! Would definitely stay again.

Excellent hotel with lovely helpful friendly staff . Visited in July - extremely clean and felt very safe with excellent compliance to masks , hand gel etc . Staggered meal times kept the restaurant manageable for social distancing etc. A big thank you to all the staff for making our stay so pleasant

We loved everything about this hotel, the view from our room was magnificent, great size room, comfortable bed, lovely breakfast and restaurant meals were really good as well. With a picturesque location in Ambleside, Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa, BW Premier Collection features a modern spa and a brasserie. Wonderful comfortable room, bed, and bathroom, helpful and friendly staff, lovely dining area and bar. I had the pool and spa all to myself one evening and they were fabulous, especially the outdoor jacuzzi! A great stay in a perfect location for shops as well as many fabulous hikes and tarns.
