Lastra Farm Hotel, hotel in Amlwch

This highly commended hotel in Amlwch, Anglesey has a restaurant with a fine reputation for serving only the freshest of ingredients.

Phenomenal from start to finish. Check in was seamless and they even upgraded our room because a bigger one was available. Despite being a last minute booking, they squeezed us into the restaurant for a first class seafood meal too! Staff were really genuinely friendly and went so far as to put a birthday card on the table at dinner for me! Breakfast was a high standard, the room was warm, cozy and the bed was comfortable.

Sportsmans Lodge Bed and Breakfast, hotel in Amlwch

Bed and breakfast Sportsmans Lodge Bed and Breakfast is located in the hamlet of Rhosgoch and offers views of the surrounding rural area.

Our hosts were lovely and our stay was brilliant. Clean and well run Bed & Breakfast. Very welcoming. We were able to get our laundry done for a very reasonable price and our host was kind enough to run us down to the ferry for only 20 quid on a bank holiday weekend (taxis were charging 90 quid). Our breakfast was great. Highly recommend this place for the weary traveler even though it's a bit off the beaten path from Bangor and Holyhead. Worth the extra effort.

The town of Amlwch is nothing special. In fact there is very little here at all. You can access nice coastal walks from the town and obviously it is easy to get to all the lovely beaches of Anglesey.

This was a good centre to explore other places on the Island from but it's not somewhere I would stay again - although the hotel was amazing. The town looked as if it had been left behind after what was probably a successful industrial past. There was nothing to do there and very limited choice for other places to eat out.

We really like Amlwch and the surrounding places on the north coast of Anglesey. Fantastic views, coastal walks and beaches. Recommend a walk around Parys mountain (Copper Kingdom) - a lovely walk with interesting history and amazing views. Sadly the museum about the history of Copper mining in this area, located by Amlwch harbour never seems to be open.

Amlwch is not worth a visit , there was a very poor tea room which was frankly ghastly , the place is interesting to hear about but a total bore to visit. We both felt the Lastra motel was in the wrong location. After a meal we didn't enjoy at astra we went the following evening to the Boathouse in Red wharf which was half the price but very much better and enjoyable. It must be added that the dogs had a wonderful stay with their toys and the fields around perfect for pets they are made very welcome it would have been to have had the same attention Sincerely

Excellent location for all that Anglesey has to offer, and locally the walks are excellent, nice pub at the bottom of the road, beautiful scenery, lovely little bay to walk down to. And if you get the chance go and visit lligwy beach, great walks to nearby bays. Great food to be found at sea shanty past Holyhead, fish and chips from moelfre, and a nice coffee at Anne’s pantry also in moelfre. Go out towards the mountains for some action at Zip World and the mountain coaster. Anglesey, who wouldn’t want to visit.

Simple really as my wife's brother and wife live there and we visit regularly. Yes, it is a long drive from the depths of Cornwall but as it is our family, we continue to do it despite our advancing years and the decreasing pleasure of motoring today. But cannot lie, Anglesey is lovely. We always look forward to our travels there and accommodation is important. We originally stayed at a lovely Farmhouse that met all that we could wish for and they had Portmeirion pottery at breakfast so that bought us. But sadly, on enquiring for our latest trip they were not offering accommodation. It was such a lovely relaxing and enjoyable setting, But fortunately, we also had previously stayed at Trecastell and so on enquiring, we were very happy to be able to book there.

Absolutely everything. The photo's don't come close to how wonderful and beautifully designed this property is. It felt like being in a high-end / five star hotel. It is exceptional and quietly located too, so superb for some peace and tranquility.
