Set in Arrochar, Loch Long Hotel is located at the head of Loch Long. It features an on-site bar and restaurant. The hotel was in a perfect location by the loch. Right around the water from car park from hiking trails. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Quiet area. Restaurant in hotel. Close walk to coffee shop or other food locations. Theres a trail that starta near hotel to Tarbet. Bus stop is right down the road. Great stay.
With lake views, An Còrr, Arrochar is located in Arrochar and has free WiFi. All units come with a seating area, a TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom with a hairdryer and shower. Our host was so personable yet professional. He goes the extra mile to make it an excellent experience.
Goldberry Cottage B&B is located in Arrochar, just a 10-minute drive from Loch Lomond. Free WiFi access is available. One night stopover as returning from NC500 road trip. Great B&B. Clean, tidy, had everything we needed and stunning views over the loch. Good breakfast. Would gladly use again.
This luxurious, 4-star B&B has a tranquil setting on the banks of Loch Long overlooking the Arrochar Alps. Amenities unbelievable: CD and DVD players, great selection of relaxing CDs, great view, complimentary sherry [refilled daily] and treats, and a fabulous location. Hard to beat!
This charming cottage overlooks Loch Long and has stunning views of the Scottish Highlands. Loch Lomond is 2 miles away, and there is free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Eggs excellent. Breakfast excellent. Accommodation first class. Irene and Bill excellent hosts. They made our 2 days even better
Set within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the 4-star Fascadail House Bed & Breakfast offers scenic loch and mountain views. The Fascadail is beautiflily sited above Loch Long at the top of it's extensive garden. The facilities were top quality and the breakfast was the best of the fifteen B and B's we have stayed at so far on this trip. The owners were especially good at providing information about local walking opportunities.
Located in Arrochar in the Argyll and Bute region, Callanish House has a patio and lake views. This self-catered vacation home features a garden and free private parking. Lovely house, very cosy and comfortable, with beautiful decor and a great fireplace! Loved the size of the rooms and the separate bathrooms for all of them. The kitchen was huge and had a wide range of cooking utensils, perfect for cooking for large groups. Really enjoyed our stay!
Guests at TwoStones can enjoy loch & mountain views. Guest rooms in the bed and breakfast all feature an private bathroom and are equipped with a flat-screen TV. We had a beautiful, cozy room, with a fantastic views. Breakfast optionso fab. The hosts, made us feel very welcome.
Boat trip on Loch Lomond with Cruise Loch Lomond was lovely. Hiking (halfway) up the Cobbler was do-able for moderately fit 60 year olds in a couple of hours, and well worth while! Visiting the town of Luss for lunch or tea is awesome (especially on a sunny day when you can sit outside). Dinner at the Village Inn is great (reserve)!
Arrochar is a quaint and scenic little town with lake and mountain views and access to lots of hiking and nature walks. Some of the most popular Munros (a mountain in Scotland with a height over 3,000 feet) can be either walked to or accessed via ferry/bus. There are dozens of other little towns - Inveraray, Luss, Balloch to name a few - that make amazing day trips if you use Arrochar as your base and take an hour bus ride. Plus there are scenic ferry rides departing from nearby Tarbet that will take you to idyllic islands and other locations on bonny Loch Lomond. However, Arrochar is small. As in, it has only three restaurants. On summer weekends, you have to get to one of these early to get dinner. The train station is about a 25 minute walk away, with not much direct public transportation. But, you're looking for a scenic retreat, this is your place. Not many tourists have found it (yet), so staying here will give you a taste of genuine, good-natured, beautiful Scotland.
The views of the mountains and Loch Long are superb in Arrochar. It was a lovely small Scottish village charm that's attractive for locals and tourists alike. Ben Arthur's Bothy is great for a bite and a pint and the little chippey has AMAZING chips (and some lovely artisan soaps for purchase!)
The view from our room was stunning! However, that's where the recommendations end. The building was grungy and run down, the sheets were clean but the bathroom was not. It was difficult to get to and harder to get out. We are grateful to Fiona, a local, for a ride to the train station as there were no busses or taxis available. The front desk service was less than friendly and the breakfast was bulk cereal and canned fruit. Cooked food was hit-and-miss.Highly recommend staying elsewhere.
If you end up booking a hotel late like me, it is an okay fallback Loch Lomand location to travel from. Do your research before deciding to stay in Arrochar. There are not many good dinner options in Arrochar. We found Ben Arthur's Bothy restaurant offered nice food and service for two nights in a row.
Arrochar is nice and quiet. Its a good base for touring around as it is near to Loch Lomond and other Lochs. Loch Lomond has many good cruises. There is a mountain walk up to the cobbler but you need a day to do it and good footwear.

Loved having the full kitchen and lots of space. The upstairs bedrooms were great. We enjoyed walking to dinner at Sanji each night (a church converted into a restaurant). The cottage was in a perfect location for hiking around Loch Lomond and Loch Long. We were visiting to research the Macfarlane Clan in Arrochar and walked to town several times. (Yes we had a car but preferred to walk since the weather was so lovely). It is an easy stroll to Tarbet too. Great stay!

Good location for various hikes in this part of the Highlands, and walking distance to Loch Lomond and cruises. We drove only five minutes or so to the car park in Arrochar for a spectacular hike to the Cobbler. Lots of information in the cottage about nearby hikes and activities. Small market located within Slanj restaurant next door was a well-stocked gem. We got ingredients for lunch, dinner and breakfast for about 10 pounds.

Fantastic location overlooking Loch Long; a gem of a place, more like a small boutique hotel than a B & B. The rooms are superb, very stylish, well equipped & comfortable with great attention to detail. The breakfast was delicious & substantial, enough to keep you going for most of the day! Derek & Matt are to be congratulated - they have created something special & are great hosts.

Bill and Eileen are great hosts. The view from our bedroom was amazing and we were given options for night time dining from the different menus of local places provided by them. The rooms were clean and coffee and tea supplied in your room. We had a sitting room we could access and breakfast in the morning was simply delicious.

Very thing was wonderful. Ann and Kevin are great host. the house and rooms were so very comfortable. The breakfast was delightful. We wished that we had another day to spend in Arrochar. The Fascadail has so much history associated with it.

A room around Loch Lomond is hard to find and expensive,so this was a good option not far from LL, and the price was reasonable. The breakfast was wast (albeit with bad coffee, but that is usual in Scotland).
