Very nice place. Old English style with lots of charm and history. Good breakfast. We had room 103 which was in the back and quiet and with windows you could open so it stayed cool. Very convenient location in the village.

I was visiting friends who live along coast and others at Hurstpierpoint. It was reasonable journey to both. I worked in WS for 12 years and love Arundel. Enjoy revisiting. Good food although I did not use local facilities on this visit.

Arundel castle and gardens were really lovely.

Arundel castle and gardens were really lovely. The gardens were the best we have visited. So much history, so well kept. Volunteers and staff extremely helpful. Loved the cathedral as well. The coffee shops were well stocked with a variety of food for all and plenty of good seating

We were primarily there to visit the castle.

We were primarily there to visit the castle. Well worth the day spent there. We arrived when it opened at 10am and left just before closing time. There was so much to see and the decision to have guides dotted around who could answer questions and provide information is a great concept, The church of St Nicholas next to the castle is also fascinating (not enough space here to explain why). The town is very picturesque and has a lovely atmosphere. The cathedral is very impressive but is Victorian and I personally preferred the older church.

The accommodation was pretty and clean.

The accommodation was pretty and clean. But it was not very close to the castle and cathedral and wifi didn't work, Arundel itself was lovely, the scenery was gorgeous, the castle was eye-popping, the cathedral was beautiful. The people we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. Castle Taxi service was good, and there is a quick and easy train on the Southern Railway to London. Arundel Station had a nice waiting room and one of the cleanest public toilets ever! There was a charming walk through the old town, the riverside, etc. Nice food too at the Edible Sandwich.

We didn't visit Arundel itself on this occasion, as we were visiting family in the other direction. However, I have previously visited both the castle and cathedral, which I would strongly recommend.

It's a good hotel to spend a night in Arundel. Nothing fancy, just a clean, comfortable bed, a clean bathroom and a good breakfast in the morning. The room was facing the back of the property and it was quiet. It was perfect for a one night stay in the area.
