Located in Ashburton in the Devon region, The Armorers Forge, Ashburton has a garden. The accommodations is 21 mi from Exeter. Excellent location. Walking distance to all bars, shops and restaurants. The property itself was beautiful. Newly renovated, modern kitchen and appliances. The property was spacious, spotless and furnishings were to a high spec. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and we all slept well. Great parking at the back of the property. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. The locals were great too! Breakfast was spot on and they had excellent drink deals. Lovely place and will be returning!
Located in Ashburton in the Devon region, Bankhouse features a terrace. The property is 17 mi from Exeter, and complimentary private parking is provided. The property was enormous. My children enjoyed most of it which they can run around and they provided some choices of games. The town was so nice and relaxing place to stay and nearby to Dartmoor national park. Essential shops just next to our main door. Everything was excellent.
A lovely small market town with plenty of shops for browsing and lots of cafes serving very nice food. Shop and cafe owners were all very friendly and the whole place has a pleasant, laid - back atmosphere.
Excellent location. Right on the edge of Dartmoor. Peaceful and quiet.Easy distance to other towns and villages. Wildlife and beautiful scenery all around. A few pubs a short drive away which serve lovely meals.
Ashburton is a great place to stay, close to the lovely picturesque Dartmoor and the river dart, also 30 mins from the English Riviera Torquay and Brixham. Plenty of Buses to hop on, and great pubs and restaurants. An extra 15 mins and you in the city life of Plymouth with its lively bar scene the Barbican area. Though currently long tailbacks due to roadworks getting into the city.
Shame the locals refuse to use the huge car park and choose to cause chaos on the streets (both of them!). Several antique and quirky shops, but also "useful" grocery supplies from Co-op to artisan baker, butcher, fishmonger and wine shop. Lovely setting and largely historic buildings. Staying nearby for a few days - Shahnaz Tandoori deliveries miles around for free and was really excellent.
The location is excellent to explore the area, near Dartmoor with lots of walks and villages, the coast with all the picturesque villages, and lovely beaches. The village was limited for entertainment due to COVID, so had to drive out to restaurants. A couple of pubs were open.
Like most places, Ashburton has been hit with Covid and a lot of shops are taking the opportunity to close and refurbish. It's a bit worrying though when a grocery store has a traffic light outside and a broadcast message saying It's 'dangerous' to enter the store if the light is red. Be prepared to call and make appointments for things like estate agents. Also, don't be in a rush. It's very narrow in places, especially getting into the car parks. Don't even try to find on-street parking. All car parks are pay and display. Should be fine though, everyone has lots of change now the shops aren't taking cash !! Beware the un-local motorist coming the wrong way down the one way street leading to the car park. Great location for exploring the Moors and nearby towns. I dare you to walk past the pasty shop and not buy one (one for now and one later). Enjoy
clean, friendly staff and great food/beer.
Very good, polite, friendly hosts
