Set on the banks of the Beaulieu River within New Forest National Park, this hotel offers an AA Rosette restaurant and luxurious rooms, just 10 minutes’ drive from Beaulieu Palace. Outstanding location, with views out over Beaulie river and Bucklers Hard. Excellent staff. Good quality rooms and excellent food. It isn't cheap, but well worth it for a treat
This outstanding country house in the New Forest is home to the award-winning The Terrace Restaurant. The Montagu Arms features free parking and leafy gardens. The Montagu Arms dates back to 1742. Beaulieu is a very picturesque and busy little village well located for visiting the New Forest. The hotel was wonderful as were the staff. We stayed in the Walnut Suite which was very comfortable for our 6 night stay. Breakfast was excellent, if a little pricey. We enjoyed the Terrace restaurant too.
The Wayside Shepherd Hut, a property with a terrace, is located in Beaulieu, 3.2 miles from Bucklers Hard, 3.4 miles from Beaulieu, as well as 2.5 miles from Beaulieu Palace House. Although technically in the garden of the owner it is very private and very tranquil
We liked Palletts tea rooms and the shops. The shops didn't stay open long enough for us. Beualieu Motor Museum is very close and I thoroughly enjoyed it on a previous visit. My wife enjoyed Buckler's Hard and I went bird watching.
Beaulieu is such a pretty place to stay. We went through the New Forest to get there which is gorgeous especially seeing the horses just walking about so close. We stayed in Bucklers Hard in a hotel along the river which was amazing. Food was excellent. You would need a car to get to Beaulieu but there are lots of walks once you're there. We spent a fabulous day in the Beaulieu motor museum, full of interesting things. We definitely would like to go back and see more of the general area.
We only visited the National Motor Museum, gardens, Abbey and Palace House, not the actual village of Beaulieu. We had an overnight stay in Bucklers Hard. Next time we shall take a little longer so we can visit the village and the Maritime Museum in Bucklers Hard.
Lovely location, however nothing much to do as no riverside Walk, waited 45 minutes for river cruise after making phone Call were advised no cruises Tuesday or Wednesday but this Was omitted from the website.little to do in present times.
I was on a stall at The International Autojumble Run by The Beaulieu estate Master Builders is very central for access to The whole of the village.. I ate at the Hotel, I try never to queue for anything. this happens sometimes
The Motor Museum. Very interesting - especially the cars dating back to the 1800s and those at the beginning of the 1900s. Also enjoyed looking round the house where some people were dressed in the costume of the time. The displays in the rooms were fascinating. Very well worth a visit. I stayed all day.
The hut is very quaint and comfortable. It was clean and well kept. A few breakfast essentials were provided, which wasn't expected, and was very much appreciated. Everything we needed was provided and Tana was friendly and helpful. The location is wonderful, right in the heart of the New Forest and we had a lovely time in Bucklers Hard, Beaulieu and Lymington as well as enjoying easy access to walking across the heathland.
Wonderful old cottage perfectly located in a small village close to Beaulieu and Lymington. The cottage was in a very quiet spot in the garden of a thatched cottage in a cul-de-sac with parking space outside the gate. There was a pub 300m away serving food with a large beer garden. There were loungers and a BBQ table and chairs outside the cottage
A beautiful; historic hotel in a lovely setting.
