We liked the location, the apartment was pretty good too and the women at the reception were very kind and helpful. The location: every interesting place was pretty close to the hotel and we found a pub with live Irish folk music almost in the backyard (Fibber Magee) and we loved it. The apartment: all part was good and clean enough and the shower was better then expected, it was spacious and had two shower heads with multiple functions, so we enjoyed it. The women at the reception: they were very nice, informative and helpful, unfortunately we had a serious problem, there was a general public transportation strike on the very day we had to get from Belfast to Derry, and they helped us a lot to find an alternative solution.

Beautiful hotel extremely well maintained, reminded us of the opulent and lavish days in the late 1800 - early 1900. All the staff is well polite and welcoming. Our room was on the old side and was facing the fron tof the hotel and you could hear the noise from the street, this being said, when we mentionned it to the front they proposed to move us to a different room.It is definitively a five star hotel and we recommend it.

Belfast was so much more than I expected.

Belfast was so much more than I expected. First day a city walking tour introduced me to the streets, the history and the city. I adore walking and exploring a new city, Malmaisson location was perfect for that. One extra-rainy day I visited the Titanic museum (not on my list) and would recommend. I had an extra day and signed up for the GIant’s causeway/north eastern coast bus tour, GREAT! So many great pubs and music to explore (White’s from 1630!!! And Kelly’s equally old around the corner). Local black box theatre was brilliant! And Irish folk are so cheery and friendly and ready to share a story, LOVED it all. And i was there end of January nonetheless, yes, a bit gray and rainy, but Belfast’s charm warmed my heart!

The city surprised me in the best way possible.

The city surprised me in the best way possible. Much cleaner than I remember it. Much easier to access the main attractions now than it was back when I went to school there. It could be quite pricey compared with Dublin-Ireland. Many places to visit and 4 days ( how long we stayed) was not enough . It is definitely a city were is worth going for a city break with your family and friends.

Great place to visit, took a day trip to giants causeway, passed through some beautiful villages, and the coastline is stunning. Also visited the game of thrones studio tour which was fantastic. The airport ( George best) is only a short distance from the city centre so it's ideal.

Definitely go to this unique and safe city both Irish and British at the same time with more history than most cities its size and so much ancient and recent history to digest. Belfast's impact on the rest of the world from ancient Irish clans, the Spanish Armada, Giants Causeway, spectacular beaches and world class golf and golfers (Rory Mac and more), the Titanic, the Belfast Blitz, Irish linens and its French Huguenot origins, the sport of rowing on the River Lagan, Belfast Castle, Cave Hill, the Zoo (where wild animals roamed the streets during the WW2 Blitz) and its proximity both in miles and in culture to Scotland. Northern Ireland has its own culture and identity, Belfast is a proud capital city. Go visit!

It was a great city so rich in culture and history.

It was a great city so rich in culture and history. The people were so friendly and the atmosphere in the bars and restaurants was exceptional. Food was good and transport if you needed it was easy although we loved walking around and taking everything in. The Duke of York pub was our favourite - the live music in there and so lively, and food in the Nu Delhi was out of this world - you need to book in advance. Hop on hop off bus tour was really good, along with the Titanic experience and a visit to Giants Causeway was breathtaking. Can't wait to return.

No matter where you drink or eat in Belfast, you'll be made very welcome. For a nice romantic meal in the city centre, I'd recommend Coco, just behind the city hall. For a pub meal, try the Morning Star, where a buffet is only £8.95, & worth every penny, A favourite spot of mine is Voodoo. A bar/live music venue in Fountain Street. Also The Fountain Tavern just across the street does a nice meal. If you want to see The Crown in all its glory, I'd advise going just after opening as it's less busy.

The hotel is really near the Botanic Gardens if you're in Belfast for a gig there its very handy. It's also a short-ish walk into the city centre. The room was large, and the bathroom had a lovely walk in shower. There was sometimes beer available on arrival, but we only got one bottle between the two of us, unfortunately. There are lots of cheap-ish places to eat nearby.
