The room was probably the largest room I have ever stayed in while visiting Europe. The bed was comfortable, windows open, there was a fan if needed in the closet which was a great addition, iron and ironing board, the water got really hot which was nice, and the staff was lovely. Fresh English breakfast was made each morning. I also had 2 dinners there and both were fantastic. The staff let me hang out in the pub waiting for my Uber in the morning before they were even open which was really nice. It is in a great spot, it was a 4 minute walk to the church and the houses my family were staying in for a wedding.

Open plan two very comfortable bedrooms very clean well equipped kitchen. If I were to be very critical would prefer walk in shower instead of in the bath as in our 80’s but we all coped very well. Would stay again in a heartbeat

We chose Berkeley because it was just a short drive from...

We chose Berkeley because it was just a short drive from Slimbridge, so it was very convenient. Getting to Gloucester is also easy and this is well worth a visit for the Cathedral, shops and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Around the docks is very interesting and there is the Outlet Centre there. As it was winter and the Castle was not open we did not visit Berkeley Castle but in the summer this would also be on the list of attractions.

Having reopened only a few weeks ago following a major refurbishment, the new owners are clearly intent on providing quality accommodation at a great price, staff were all extremely friendly, Yes there are a few rough edges to resolve in terms of providing a breakfast service (not currently available) however the room was comfortable, clean and provided a great nights sleep, clearly a lot of money has been spend in renovating this hotel and I can't wait to revisit it again in the future, couldn't fault my stay, Excellent.

The holiday home was central to the town facilities, shops,Berkeley Castle, Jenner Museum and footpaths. No car was required for local sites. Cattle Park Farm was only a 2 min drive so this makes a good day out with young children. Take a picnic as there are lots of picnic tables around. We spent the whole day here weather was good. Further afield is Slimbridge another good day out. The home is set back from the road and gated so safe if children staying. The owner lives opposite and says to knock if you need anything.

The property was easily accessed and had excellent parking. The location was excellent for our purposes which was a wedding at Berkeley Castle. The facilities were excellent with all possible equipment provided. The bed was very comfortable. The cottage was well heated. Upon arrival a bottle of Prosecco and scones with jam and clotted cream were available together with fresh milk and orange juice. There was plenty of tea, coffee and sugar for a weekend. Altogether we would highly recommend and would use again.

Lovely rural location with easy access to Berkeley, Slimbridge, Dursley and other nice places to visit. Simple cottage - ideal for a couple with young children plus another couple. Separate kitchen, dining and lounge areas. All lovely and clean.

Good location, parking, great food at night and good full english breakfast. Berkeley castle 5mins level walk away and well worth a visit if you take the group guided tour.
