Blacklaines House Apartment, boasting a garden, is located in Birdlip, 11 mi from Kingsholm Stadium and 11 mi from Gloucester Cathedral. This apartment also features free WiFi. The appartment and its location are amazing! Very clean, has all you need (and some) and is just a great place to relax after long hikes. Perfectly located right in the middle of the Cotswold way. Would strongly recommend and will be back.
Located in Little Witcombe in the Gloucestershire region, Amber Cottage has a patio and garden views. Beautifully clean cottage which was well equipped. We had a comfortable stay. Attractive garden to rear. The owner, John, was very helpful. The cottage is ideally located for exploring the views and walks of this area of the Cotswolds, but......
Boasting garden views, Landers features accommodations with a terrace and a kettle, around 5 mi from University of Gloucestershire. A lovely quirky house. Heated swimming pool was great. Gardens were beautiful lots of space. Hosts were very helpful and quick to sort out anything.
We only stayed for four nights as we had trips planned in the wider area. It does however seem a good area for walkers with lots of walks nearby. Unfortunately we only did one due to having other commitments.
Decoration and update desperately required. But if this is not top of your requirements list but good food and a comfortable relaxing atmosphere are, Then the Royal George is the place for you. Not ideal for the those who are less able as even downstairs accommodation has potential difficulties. (access to showers and corridor steps) Birdlip is at the heart of the Cotswolds and, as such, is popular with walkers, cyclists and those requiring a peaceful break. Dependent on the English weather the local environment is a delight both within it's own grounds and beyond. It is not a spa but an ideal base to spread out locally. (Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cirencester, Stroud etc). We had a wedding reception which worked out brilliantly and I would recommend for that purpose.
Beautiful Cotswold village within easy reach of Gloucester and Cheltenham, but with great walking within easy reach. We ate at the hotel after a long day, but there are a number of good places to eat within easy driving distance.
Small village without any amenities other than the Royal George Hotel. Ok for stopover but you need transport to venture further afield. Had all evening meals at the hotel which was pefect for the time we were there. Meals are very good especially breakfast second to none!
Really nice place with happy helpful staff. Room and bed was large and very clean. Hotel does need a lock of paint in places but this looks as though it's being done as decorators were working while we were there. The shower wasn't very powerful but our room was at the top of the house so it could have been water pressure. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and there was a lovely garden to the rear which would have been nice in better weather. All in all we will go back again.
The hotel is beginning to look a little tired re:- the furniture in the room. Elaine on reception was helpful as usual We suggested a railing in the bath to help the elderly and infirm ( which we are )
Great location for Cotswold Way walk. Attractive Comfortable beds Nice pub in hotel
