Blockley is a pretty village, but overseas visitors should be aware that rural locations do not have good transport available. The church is worth a visit & is spectacularly lit up at night. There is a local shop & post office, & an adjacent restaurant with good food open a few evenings a week.
What a pretty village.
What a pretty village... I thought once I had veered from Moreton-on-Marsh and Bourton-on-Water, I would be in a dull little vilage, but nothing could be further from the truth. Beautiful buildings, pretty country village, truly lovely

Great "real" village in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Great "real" village in the heart of the Cotswolds. If you want to feel a part of the countryside then this is the place to visit. Small and intimate, yet it seems to have everything - walking, views, history and very friendly people. At the expense of having it gain more (or too much) popularity I'd rank it as a place to stay a few days on any trip through this part of the Cotswolds.
Good for overnight stay
Great place to stay, as it's smaller and quieter than Stow and Chipping Camden, where we did most of our sightseeing. Not much going on in the town itself but it is certainly beautiful. Take a GPS to help get around easily.
“The Hungarian receptionist/barman/breakfast manager who was friendly, helpful and interesting and who could not have done more to make our stay a good one.
The room with a 4 poster was comfortable and spacious and not too warm.
The location in a truly beautiful Cotswold village and the historic charm and interest of the hotel.
The cosmopolitan mixture of visitors to the hotel.
The delicious English breakfast.”
