Located in the village of Milcombe, Horse & Groom Inn is a former 16th-century coaching house which is less than an hour’s drive to the heart of the Cotswold District. This is a gorgeous pub with four bedrooms. The hosts made us feel welcome the moment we walked in for a delicious lunch. The room was lovely, quiet and comfortable and the breakfast was superb. I hope we can find an excuse to return in the future and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Banbury or the surrounding area.
Set in Barford Saint Michael, The George Inn has a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. The George was great. Dan , Tilly and Nick were friendly and helpful at all times. Our room was lovely. The bed was comfortable. It was very clean. The food was excellent and we did not feel the need to go any where else for an evening meal though we spent several nights at the George. The surroundings are lovely and we found the local people very welcoming and friendly.
Virginia House Bed & Breakfast offers accommodations in Bloxham, 3.1 mi from Banbury. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. You will find a coffee machine in the room. Virginia House is beautiful inside and out. The owners are friendly and attentive. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was spacious and cozy. Everything was super clean and there were a lot of really nice touches such as homemade biscuits, a binder with important I formation and an incredible breakfast!!! We had an incredible visit and would highly recommend this location.
The Deddington Arms is a 16th-century coaching inn and award-winning restaurant situated in the medieval village of Deddington, just a 10 minute drive from Banbury. Initially a problem with room not being ready. However the staff are superb and responded brilliantly. Customer always comes first here, we will return!
This historic coaching inn dates back to before the English Civil War. Just 3 miles from Banbury, there is a traditional bar, a restaurant and rooms with free Wi-Fi overlooking the village green. The staff were very welcoming, the room was very clean. The hotel clearly has a lot of history, a lot of quirky corridors.
To be honest when I booked I hadn't realised that it was a pub and my wife was not very happy with me and I almost cancelled........thank goodness I didn't as we found everything to be great ..........We had met relatives on the way up from Cornwall for lunch and had decided that we wouldn't have dinner but having glanced at the menu decided to have a snack which turned into a full meal as it was so delicious and well presented. The breakfast was equally great and we will certainly be back sometime in the future. (Can't wait !)
Would highly recommend staying at the Horse and Groom Inn. Room was very comfortable and the bar and restaurant were excellent . We had to leave early on our final morning and we were provided with a packed lunch.
We visited Bloxham for a wedding and fell in love with the little town. We went for a walk and stumbled upon The Joiners Arms pub which has a lovely outside area that catches the sun. Depending where you stay, you might find a Co-op to buy some food and a local pub but you would need a car or short taxi ride to get to the local train station.
A sleepy countryside village within easy walking distance of restaurants and country walks. To travel around outside of here you will need a car. Great food, people are friendly and near enough to bigger attractions if you’re looking for some extra excitement.
Fantastic! Very clean, comfortable and well appointed room. Extremely friendly and accommodating hosts. Amazing breakfast! Only stayed one night to attend family Wedding but would highly recommend and hope to return for a longer visit soon.
