We had a one night stay (should have been 2 but our ferry was cancelled) . Staff were very friendly,,bed was comfy & the breakfast was lovely. Beach was very close & the hotel even kept our cases safe as we weren't flying out until late in the evening. I've seen some reviews about the decor being dated but I felt that it was a real authentic English seaside experience. Will most definitely return & for longer next time.

Known for its sandy beaches and good nightlife, Bournemouth is a popular seaside resort on the Dorset coast between Poole and Christchurch.
The town is centered on the Bourne River, running downhill towards the sea by Bournemouth Pier. This pier looks back towards a promenade lined with beach huts at the foot of grassy cliffs. The promenade continues west to Poole, while a road heads east to neighboring Boscombe, where anglers often fish from its pier. Overlooking it is a clifftop road housing some Bournemouth hotels with sea views.
Booking.com also has hotels near the BIC (Bournemouth International Center) in the West Cliff area. This convention center and music venue is a short walk from the Art Deco Pavilion Theatre next to the Lower Gardens. In this popular city park is the Bournemouth Eye, a tethered hot air balloon with far-reaching views.
At the park’s top end the river disappears under a large square, then emerges in the Central Gardens. Overlooking these gardens is the Victorian town hall, which used to be one of several spa hotels in Bournemouth. Nearby, there's a Grade I registered historic church, and St. Peter’s Church has the grave of Mary Shelley, author of "Frankenstein."
On the outskirts of town, near 4 golf courses and the Castlepoint Shopping Center, is Bournemouth Airport.
We visited the christmas tree wonderland which looked great lit up. It was a bit smaller than I expected and took less than an hour. The beach was great and clean with amusements and the pier. Parking was quite near by.
We visited Canvas Loft Club which was fantastic fun and only 5 minutes walk from our accommodation. We very much enjoyed an afternoon lunch and spa at the NICI hotel. There were lots of restaurants nearby.
Good walks and entertainment with plenty to do and good choice of restaurants The only downside was walking back at night where the lack of lighting was not good There was also a large number of people with drugs and a number of rats running day and night on Eastcliffe
Like many towns these days a lot of the shops are now empty, but there are still many shops that are open, I was in Boscombe/Bournemouth for a week but only in Bournemouth shopping area on Friday morning, and stopped at 2 'local-artisan' cafes for coffees with cake. The people who served me were genuinely pleasant and it was great coffee. There was a nice atmosphere. There was a lot of activity setting up wooden stalls for what looked likely to be a week-end market in the gardens which, almost, abut the sea/sandy beach and lead straight into the shopping area. I wasn't there for shopping, just sightseeing, but there seemed to be some good independent shops as well a chain stores as well as activities and entertainment on offer.
It was very enjoyable. We stayed at a time when you were not full which added to the enjoyment for us. It was not busy, so our stay was leisurely and pleasant. We found the food good, and the rooms very comfortable. I am not too mobile, , but my children went out and brought anything I needed.
Bournemouth is a great town to visit with lots of attractions close by. The seafront has a lovely promenade which goes on for miles. Recommend Compton Acres, a lovely private garden and The Anchorage pub nearby for delicious food. Only downside is that like many towns and cities the town centre has gone a bit downhill and the atmosphere has changed with many migrants around in the evening.
Location is the best location near beach and Bournemouth centre or garden. My room was on top floor family room which was nice but the lift was out of order I have to take my luggage up to the top floor, The staff was too busy to help me. The room was a bit small in size despite of three people. The price is a bit overprice it is more than the 4-star hotel price. The hotel was overall very clean and refurnished with british lovely decoration. The staff was kind enough. if the price is lower I will come again. Thank you
Bournemouth
We’ve never felt more welcome with our dog than here! The love and attention was simply amazing. We had a little doggy welcome pack and a customized map with all the dog friendly things to do. Pam was very attentive and gave us advice that had us visit some real Bournemouth gems. The room was extremely spacious and comfortable. Very soft bed and pillows that guaranteed a good night’s sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The location was perfect - quiet but also very close to the beach. A real home away from home!
I have been coming to Bournemouth for years, but never felt more at home at a hotel than at the Fairmount Hotel! The hotel is central, close to the ocean and the town Centre, with local shops and restaurants in walking distance. The rooms are always neat, tidy, and welcoming. The beds are comfortable, internet is great and the atmosphere is cosy and comfortable. And the best part about the hotel are the owners, who are caring, loving and heart-warming, and always go the extra mile to ensure you feel at home!
The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The location was perfect. It was a small walk to the pier and the beautiful beach. Restaurants were also a walk, but we used taxis. The pool was AMAZING! It was heated and clean. It was open until 8pm. We had lunch on the pool veranda and it was a bit pricey but very nice. The Bournemouth air show was on so we watched that from our sunbeds! The hotel had a nice warm friendly feeling. We really enjoyed our stay!
I was impressed with everything. Staff were amazing and the breakfast was run very efficiently. The room was clean and comfortable. Location was also perfect. Opposite shopping and cinema and a short walk to the beach and pier. Stayed at few places in Bournemouth as visit my daughter and I would certainly stay here again. Unfortunately all hotels are expensive around the area but this was one of the cheaper options but certainly didn’t feel I was in a cheap hotel.
Bournemouth
It was our second time visiting Bournemouth and staying at The Pavillion Arms. We've stayed in the suite room as a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids and a dog) and it's by far the best hotel for a large family to stay in the area. The room was very comfortable, with very friendly staff and a great restaurant. Also, great location within a walking distance of the town centre and beach, but in a quieter and much nicer location. We will come back again soon!
Location was good, close to the seafront and only a small walk to the main Bournemouth centre and pier. Initial thoughts were the hotels decor had been modernised but closest inspection. Cobwebs in corners, paintwork required touch ups, stained carpets.
Applewood Hotel is close to Bournemouth town centre (10 minutes walk). The single room was small but had everything I needed including a little desk. Ensuite was compact but vlean and functional. Check in staff were efficient rather than friendly.
I booked single room for one night, but I get double room without any extra charge. Room was nice, large and clean. Location is nice, it is close to tow center and to the beach. Personnel was helpful. I would definitely stay in that hotel again.
The hotel was very close to Bournemouth city centre. It has a swimming pool and a bar downstairs to get some snacks and a beer 🍺 in the evening. The room was comfortable and they also allow pets. We had our cat with us for £10 per night.
Hotel was lovely and clean and staff were very accommodating, hotel has a vending machine for middle of the night needs but is also were served by being very close to shops and town, while also being close to beach.
Economy option with no thrills to it, one of the least expensive hotels available in Bournemouth at the time we booked. Basic rooms with minimal amenities, but exactly what we expected and suited our stay well.
Everything was perfect! We have stayed in many hotels in Bournemouth and this one far exceeds the rest. Lovely decor, staff super friendly, bed is amazing and it's free parking what more could you ask for.
Bournemouth is a terrific location, and the Royal Bath Hotel- the first hotel built to accommodate visitors to the area in 1838- is in a near perfect location, close to the Pier and overlooking the East Cliff
The location is great, a short walk to the beach and 25 minutes to Bournemouth pier. Nice to be a bit out of the way but still so close to the lovely beach. The hotel has everything you need.
The hotel was in an amazing location, close to the beach and the shops. very quiet and rooms were cleaned every day perfectly. very happy and will definitely stay again.
Loved the location, right across the street from the Bournemouth Pier and ferris wheel! Variety of restaurants close by as well as in hotel and parking out front.
