Breakfast was a good old fashioned English breakfast. Spa was lovely and sitting out in the gorgeous gardens was so nice. Location snd proximity to transport, beach and city centre perfect. Even though we had a small room it had a sea view which was lovely to listen to the ocean at night. Live music 2 nights.

For me the most important part of a hotel stay is the care and attention by reception and guest services and how inviting they are, and make you feel. Ali at Hermitage Hotel in Bournemouth is the finest example of the best customer care. He was very polite from the beginning, gave me a map and informed me about all of the various amenities within the Oceana Collection of hotels, as well as memorable sites in the neighborhood. I checked in at 9pm, so he checked and found some available rooms at that time and gave me a lovely upgrade to a seaview room. The room was immaculate, beautifully decorated, very clean, modern, tiled bathroom and well ventilated. The bed was extremely comfortable, and what I experienced was a very high level luxury experience. This hotel and its staff, especially Ali, are very concerned about every tiny detail that facilitates a happy, memorable experience for its guests. Out of 5 Stars, I would give this hotel 10 stars. They are an example with which I hope other luxury hotels take note. Breakfast was delicious, common area furniture is decorated with wonderful taste. The hotel is a few steps from the beach, pier, bus stops, town centre and local tourist attractions. I highly recommend it to anyone and I take great pleasure in writing this review. Every member of the Hermitage Hotel teams needs to be commended for their contributions to an outstanding guest experience. Thank you.

Known for its sandy beaches and good nightlife, Bournemouth is a popular seaside resort on the Dorset coast between Poole and Christchurch.
The town is centered on the Bourne River, running downhill towards the sea by Bournemouth Pier. This pier looks back towards a promenade lined with beach huts at the foot of grassy cliffs. The promenade continues west to Poole, while a road heads east to neighboring Boscombe, where anglers often fish from its pier. Overlooking it is a clifftop road housing some Bournemouth hotels with sea views.
Booking.com also has hotels near the BIC (Bournemouth International Center) in the West Cliff area. This convention center and music venue is a short walk from the Art Deco Pavilion Theatre next to the Lower Gardens. In this popular city park is the Bournemouth Eye, a tethered hot air balloon with far-reaching views.
At the park’s top end the river disappears under a large square, then emerges in the Central Gardens. Overlooking these gardens is the Victorian town hall, which used to be one of several spa hotels in Bournemouth. Nearby, there's a Grade I registered historic church, and St. Peter’s Church has the grave of Mary Shelley, author of "Frankenstein."
On the outskirts of town, near 4 golf courses and the Castlepoint Shopping Center, is Bournemouth Airport.
We use Bournemouth as a base for walking
It has everything we need including good transport plenty to do and lots of places to eat. We like Prezzo on westover road and millar and carter which is a little expensive and didn’t get such good service this time around probably like everywhere else staff shortages but food was good and atmosphere feels fine.

The beach was beautiful. Felt like we were abroad.
The beach was beautiful. Felt like we were abroad. It has great facilities and so clean. Aso we could walk on beach all the way into town so was a pleasant journey every time. The path ran alongside sand so you could enjoy the beach walk without getting sand between the toes.
There were free toilet facilities and free drinking water points all along beachfront. Plus good access to bins and recycling.
The outdoor gym was in constant use by people of all ages and the beach really promoted health and fitness on the whole.

Lovery views from cliff tops. Beach sandy and spacious. Plenty of variety of shops and places to eat. Lovely well kept gardens. Very crowded with many language students. Prices on the high side and many only accept cards. It's hilly so will keep you fit. Very extensive bus service.
