Was such a great place to stay so near to the beach and Southbourne. Which as some lovely shops and bar and restaurant. Some people won't like sharing a bathroom. But always were kept very clean. Definitely stay here again. Plus staff made me feel so welcome.
The beach is clean with great quality sand. There are lots of areas to stop for a bite to eat or a drink near the beach. Aperol Spritz bar was nice. Enjoyed the aquarium with the little ones. Impossible to get a buggy across the beautiful sand... A few nice little rides for the kids on the pier(which is ticketed entry). Zip wire across the sea/ beach looked fun. Beautiful gardens and river close by and various food shacks with nice food and bars to relax. Saw some surfing on the waves. Was a great short break!
Bournemouth has a wonderful beach and in the west you can see the Dorset hills It has lovely shaded lanes filled with woods of rhododendrons and pines called Chines Good bus transport - taxi drivers are a bit eccentric I ate in a very good and inexpensive Vegan restaurant on the Christchurch Road called something like Green Leaf In the summer everyone goes there if you don't like crowds... but who can blame them It is slightly cooler in summer than London believe it or not but not a bad thing at all
did not like town after 8 pm full of rowdy people stags and hen partys every where not for me or my wife would not go to that place again poole was three miles down road that was fine bourmouth a tip after 8 pm we hated bourmouth and will not go again
Bournemouth isnt as nice as Poole. My son and i went down on Friday 17th june that just happened to be the hottest day of the year, and everyone was on the beach . Boscombe beach is quite a long walk from the hotel we stayed in but where we stayed in the Carrington House hotel the bus stops to bournemouth and Poole are very near which is good and travel is easy and the busses are frequent . Bournemouth, has some nice gardens , but the town is a little shoddy, Poole is much nicer . Bournemouth beach is ok and theres lots to do around the beach area , although in the summer it costs £1.40 per addult just to walk on the pier which everyone thinks is a complete nonsesense ! Still i prefer Poole
I came to Bournemouth to visit friends a very special friend and her husband who was is not very well and it’s been a long time so my visit to Bournemouth was cut short I had a death in my family so the time spent even though it was short was worth the long journey just to see my dear friends 🙏🏽🌹🙏🏻...
I have been coming to Bournemouth for years, but never felt more at home at a hotel than at the Fairmount Hotel! The hotel is central, close to the ocean and the town Centre, with local shops and restaurants in walking distance. The rooms are always neat, tidy, and welcoming. The beds are comfortable, internet is great and the atmosphere is cosy and comfortable. And the best part about the hotel are the owners, who are caring, loving and heart-warming, and always go the extra mile to ensure you feel at home!
Very nice room. My daughter said her sofa bed was comfortable. Awesome breakfast. Hampton always includes breakfast and this was one of the best. They had gluten free bread and a dedicated toaster. The eggs, baked beans and hash browns were delicious; didn’t taste like processed eggs. Hubby enjoyed the full English with bacon and sausages. Good coffee and cappuccino! Daughter and hubby also liked the tea. Comfortable bed and I appreciated the extra pillows. Area of the hotel felt safe.
As always very enjoyed staying at the Cecil Court. Very friendly people, if you had any questions or needed help they were there to give you a hand. I booked without breakfast but I decided to have one the other morning so they booked me in without any problems. Breakfast was nice and fresh. Location is good. Only takes a few minutes to walk down to the Center of Bournemouth and also to the beach. There is a also bus station close to the hotel, if needed. All in all very Happy.
Great location; minutes away from the beach. Clean & quiet. Owned by an individual rather than a corporation, which is nice. Happy to support and encourage! Can book a taxi ride with the card/instructions provided on the ground floor. It provides an experience like a home away from home. If you are not into the commercial hotel like experience, this is a definite 'yes'. The other guests were very warm and friendly.
Bournemouth
This was the best nights sleep me and my partner had in a long time! The hotel, room and gardens were decorated beautifully. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was phenomenal! Boscombe beach was 2 minutes away, and Bournemouth was 5 minutes on the bus - in fact we walked back from Bournemouth along the beach which didn’t take long at all. Couldn’t fault the hotel or our stay even if we tried!
One of the oldest hotels in Bournemouth, the Royal Exeter is located right on the edge of town and a mere 5 minutes walk from Bournemouth's famous beach. Close to nightlife options and over the road from the BIC, this is an ideal location for those staying in Bournemouth for more than just the beach! The rooms are large and spacious and immaculately clean and the staff are very accommodating.
it is a 3 star property and for 3 stars I was amazed how nice it was, I was. it is very beautifully decorated, clean, very nice staff and comfortable rooms. breakfast was nice. Really enjoyed our stay and def would come back. i stayed on more expensive 4 stars hotels in Bournemouth which were much worse, so def exceeded my expectations. Very convenient location to get to a beach.
Double room number 14, lovely big room over looked the pool. Comfy bed. Tiny bathroom but that didnt bother us. Really creaky floorboards. Chap on reception really friendly and helpful. 10 mins walk from the beach. Pool looked lovely although we didnt use it i heard it was freezing :-D. This isnt the flashest of hotels but i actually really liked it.
Bournemouth
Alum Chine is a lovely quiet part of Bournemouth and the guest house was 5 mins walk to the beach. The rooms were clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The shower was great and the guest towels are nice and big. The property has wi-fi and two smart tv's. We were also allowed to let the dog stay with a £20 excess.
Bournemouth
Location is fabulous & a beautiful Zen like experience at the property. A short walk to the beach which is gorgeous & clean. From the beach here you can walk to Bournemouth in one direction & walk to Christchurch in other direction (via short ferry ride £1).
Staff were really friendly. The children really enjoyed using the pool. Breakfast was also really good. Great value for money. Obviously the hotel is a little dated but it's perfect for the money and a cheap weekend get away.
The location of the hotel was excellent, a 5 min walk through the grounds to the beach and a 5 min drive into Bournemouth. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel was clean and fresh.
It's the best location in Bournemouth, minutes away from the beach, pier and the town centre..kids would play at the beach and run back to the hotel to change 😀.We stayed in a family room which was very spacious.
Great location, facilities, food and staff. Would have stayed longer but no rooms available due to its popularity. Easy access to the beach and easy walks to Bournemouth town centre one way and Sandbanks the other.
The hotel was in a great area and the staff were all really lovely and welcoming. Were looking forward to going back. The spa area was the best we've been to in Bournemouth, so very clean and great treatments.
The best hotel that we’ve stayed in, whist in Bournemouth. Perfect location for the BIC & beach, the former being why we regularly come to Bournemouth. All staff were lovely, full English breakfast delicious!
it’s gorgeous, lovely attention to detail, rooms are beautifully clean and well appointed. must be the best hotel in Bournemouth

The location was incredible, right next to the beach with a pathway down to sand and beautiful hotel
