Bream
Located in Bream, just 4.3 mi from St Briavel's Castle, Old Co Op House features accommodations with free WiFi. We are so pleased that we stumbled across this accommodation in search of a short break in the forest of Dean. From the start to finish, we had very good and informative contact with Suzette the owner. The flat is of good standard with appliances and furnishings all of good and comfortable condition. Very homely feel, all well thought out and everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Excellent value for money and the coffee machine is a nice touch, with a whole cabinet of pods supplied. Cant praise this enough, not only for the flat but a very beautiful and friendly village. Thank you Suzette~

Bream is not an attractive village. It has some shops, but no large supermarket. Shopping is in Lydney. There's not much to do in the village, but it is well located for the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley.
visited during storm dennis so a short trip was enough! It was just me and my 6 year old and we dont mind a bit of rain however. In better or just generally dryer weather you could stay for much longer as there is so much to do! Would come back
Great country location with good food and drink options. Cosy 1st floor flat. Close to the border with Wales and also approx 30 minute drive from Bristol and Gloucester, also Newport. Having a car is essential to get the best from the region.
As we were only there 2 days for my uncles funeral, we didn't haven't any spare time to look around the area but what we did think it was a lovely place. Did get fish and chips from Frydays which were lovely,so would recommend them.
Bream is quite a large village in the FofD. It’s quiet although, I did see sheep roaming around early in the morning. There’s a fish and chip shop, Chinese takeaway, a new cafe, which does breakfasts, light lunches and delightful cakes. A chemist, florist, a pub and a few food shops. Bus route and near all main attractions, Clearwell Caves, Puzzlewood, Lydney Docks, Dean heritage museum and plenty of walks. The Globe inn at Alvington is well worth a visit
Bream was lovely, we particularly enjoyed the atmosphere including the daily delight of seeing sheep coming daily into the village and settling alongside the roads. The centrality of the village enabled us to visit Gloucestershire, Wales and Stratford upon Avon. We visited castles and other attractions. Puzzlewood was a particular delight.
