Stay to visit family Town centre is looking cleaner but the main road near our grandchild desperately need the buildings repaired & brightening up - very rough looking - rubbish collection near Maddocks place needs to be smarter
We were there for a family funeral and to see someone in hospital. Cabs are very difficult to get in Bridgend and so I had to walk to the hospital in 30 degree heat for over 30 mins. So mkae sure you book in advance.
Really convenient for the railway station into Cardiff, reasonable fairs too. Centrally situated and convenient, reasonable proced public parking just round the corner. Lots of local restaurants if you fancy a change from pub grub
Nice hotel have stayed there 2 years running for the Elvis for £39 but went to book for next year and they'd increased the price to £89 just for the Elvis weekend so won't be staying there again
we didn't go into the town much' we visised the nearest seaside resort and also travelled a bit further afield to visit family we had our evening meals at two pubs which were quite close and very good
I didn't like it · It could have been better if they didn't bring down the price of breakfast, because when they booked delivery, they booked it with breakfast, but when it was paid, they added all the breakfast we had to the price of any expensive room. It wouldn't have been a problem to do so we would have chosen a room! In vain we explained when we booked we included to include breakfast, but they don't care a bit about it so approx. We paid £ 70 more than the original price! This I think is very unfair and very infuriating us! So if you want to go here get ready they will be dragged down !! Jakudzi is a joke, some air comes from below, but only from below and just so that you can't even accidentally position yourself to get some massage. you can choose, there is no other !!! The bed was very big, but who was lying out, I practically slept in a recess! There was no hot water when bathing! We found hair several times in the breakfast. So if you want to book accommodation here, expect that they will deduct it from the price of breakfast, even if you book it is included in the price! The information on the booking.com website may not have been correct! It was a big disappointment for us anyway. We are very confident in this website and in the hotel as well but we may never use their services again.
Days Inn has a 'certain' reputation for being cheap and maybe not so cheerful. I found the hotel and my room more than passable. A couple of points, a stain on the carpet and a water mark on the curtains. No idea why that was the case, perhaps the window leaks, or perhaps it's been badly washed/dried, but as it was dry when I stayed I couldn't hazard a guess.
