Comfy bed
Made an effort by leaving two small cakes in room as a greeting. Problem was it, was left in a boiling hot room with a fly in it!!??

Bridport itself is ok but a bit tired
The hotel was in a village called Eypes along the coast and that was a super quiet location. Misnoma to describe it as Bridport--thats just the postal address I'm guessing
It is the area that is good for what we wanted---cliff and other walks plus good quality supporting facilities without over-crowding or over-development

Bridport is a pretty market town close to the coast.
Bridport is a pretty market town close to the coast. We stayed at the Greyhound, a Wetherspoons hotel, so you know what to expect from the bar and food. There are buses to local resorts, and car parks just off the high street.
It can get very busy at the seaside car parks (such as Hive beach) , so get to them early to get a parking place.

the hotel was in a quiet location 5 mins from the beach and 5 mins to the pub.
With only 18 rooms it was not crowded and service was first class.
Our stay coincided with very warm weather so sleeping was a problem but we were given a small fan which helped to overcome the intense temperature. Somewhat unusual for the time of year.
We explored all the nearby coves which all have good parking and toilet facilities.
Word of advice do not go to Seaton a sad reflection on what I remember from the 60's
Dorset was very clean and the roads are all good. The only one that needs some widening is the one down to the hotel.
Hopefully next time we come down this way it will have some extra passing bays.

The Tiger Inn is a small hotel and pub run by a lovely couple . The staff were friendly and helpful, the room clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely, with a good choice on the menu.
I can’t think of any negatives about this place, and would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Bridport.

There is so much to do in Bridport.
There is so much to do in Bridport. There are many pubs and restaurants and events. There is even a street market twice a week and a good variety of shops. Everything is within walking distance or you can take a bus. The beach is less than 2 miles away. Lots of hotels. Many charity shops. Very safe and friendly with narrow streets and oldie worldly charm and architecture. Good night life with theatre and music events to attract all ages. Good surrounding countryside for walks and pub meals. There is even a guided walk round the brewery.

Bridport is a great town with super individual shops, plus usual high St names. Great waitrose. Market days really good. Courtyard cafe excellent for breakfast. Rope makers arms pub great beer and atmosphere.
The Hotel is in a beautiful 18 century building situated in a location close to the centre of Bridport. Bridport is a charming town with a nice array of independent shops. The beach ( Westbay) is less than two miles away. The Hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful . I would recommend The Bridge House without hesitation as we enjoyed our stay immensely. Parking facilities, comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast are some of the reasons we will be back.
Lovely place operated by a friendly couple who made us feel right at home. Comfy bed and cozy room, everything we needed. Bridport itself is a handy base for the seeing the sights of Dorset and the south-west.
The Food was excellent, staff were excellent and very accommodating, The location is superb if you like the beach or walking. The hotel restaurant and grounds are superb and the view, incredible.
Cozy cottage, quaint lounge, modern bathroom and comfortable bedroom. Within walking distance of Bridport Town and a pleasant walk to West Bay across country
