Set in Brockenhurst, a 25-minute drive from Southampton, The Huntsman of Brockenhurst is a forest inn dating back to the 13th century that has undergone a major refurbishment.

The boutique room exceeded our expectations, the isolated rooms with own entrance and super high vaulted ceiling and the decor made us feel in our own house rather than a hotel room. The pub serves excellent food and Brockenhurst is perfectly located to explore New Forest.

    Brockenhurst is a great location for visiting the New Forest. It's a lovely place to stay with great pubs and shops. You can easily walk or cycle into some lovely forest and heathland areas without needing to use a car. A bonus is the coast is only a few miles away.

    Brilliant town situated in the middle of the New Forest. Lots of lovely pubs and restaurants to visit with an old world feeling like it use to be! Ponies roaming freely down the high street, great for cycling and walks. Highly recommended

    Brockenhurst is a lovely village , with a thriving high street, with several shops, cafes, and pubs, very pretty , five minute walk and your in the open forest. Excellent station with frequent service to Lymington at very cheap fare. Also close to Beaulieu Motor museum and the beautiful Bucklers Hard .

    There wasn’t a single solitary thing that wasn’t perfect and more than one could ever need. If it were an option, I would go and live there permanently. I’m now in later years. I have travelled far and wide, worldwide. I can say with hand on heart, Gracelands, in its entirety, within and without, pleased & satisfied my every need and requirement. It is the most pleasing B&B I have ever had the good fortune to stay in. Thank you Graceland from Nick & Andrea Carter

    Perfect base for exploring the New Forest on foot. There are so many beautiful places to see and explore. It’s a great place to stay for a holiday. Plus Brockenhurst has some lovely places to eat, especially the Commoners Bar and the Italians. Tasty food and great service.

    We were only in Brockenhurst for 2 days before catching the...

    We were only in Brockenhurst for 2 days before catching the I.O.W ferry and were impressed by the excellent position it is in to explore the New Forest and coastal resorts. Brockenhurst is a lovely small town with enough shops for daily needs i.e. Tesco supermarket and Co-op , plus an interesting looking cafe . Delighted to see New Forest ponies roaming free in village and the surrounding area .

    We are regular guests are the Cottage Lodge hotel and as usual the service is top notch, the room incredibly well appointed and breakfast a true delight! No other hotels in the region beat the Cottage Lodge Hotel. The staff is always friendly, rooms very cleaned, and we love the fact that sustainable and local products are being used. We will be back soon to our favourite getaway.

    The junior suite was extremely comfortable, with a separate private lounge providing a perfect place to sit and relax. Lovely gardens,surround a beautiful old house. John, the owner, is incredibly attentive, friendly, and full of knowledge about the surrounding area. In a wonderful location, Broadlands Gate is a great place to enjoy Brockenhurst and the New Forest.

    I had a lovely room and the hotel was great central location, close to the train station, village and lots of new forest trails. The owner was very helpful and there were nice additional touches to the room.

    We've stayed here several times for a good reason, it is a lovely small hotel with a cosy bar and great location with the new forest outside the front door. Nice rooms and good service.
