Located in Builth Wells, Seven Stars Inn features a restaurant, bar and free WiFi. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. The inn offers a Full English/Irish or vegetarian breakfast. Everything! There is such a cool history associated with this inn and pub. It is owned by the local community and you can tell how proud of it they are...and they should be, because it is incredible! Staying here was the highlight of a 10 day trip to England and Wales. It was such a cool experience and completely unexpected. If you’re passing through you should absolutely stay here. The value was great. The history associated with it was great. The people of the town and patrons of the pub were very welcoming. The manager, Jaime, went above and beyond to help us have a good stay, and I really can’t say enough good things about my visit here. The room was very nice. The bed was comfortable. We stayed in the room above the pub with 2 kids (age 2.5, and 5 months) and there wasn’t much noise. Neither had a problem sleeping or staying asleep (and they are light sleepers). The quality and price are seriously top notch.

Many families visiting Builth Wells loved staying at Caer Beris Manor Country House Hotel, The Llanelwedd Arms Hotel, and Lion Hotel.
The hotel is in a great location to see the area. The town was clean and tidy with most shops occupied by a business. The traffic is a problem as all traffic has to negotiate the small roads which have junctions at all angles and road markings in need of repainting. LGV and farmers with their trailers are a particular hazzard but are the lifeblood of the area.
I think Builth Wells is just in the right place fo those that want to see Mid Wales Within easy reach of the Brecon Beacons, Elan Valley Hay-on-Wye etc. The Cedars with host Nick is ideal too .Good parking outside..Good catalogue about the Cedars the host and the area. 10 out of 10 !!
The town is in a lovely situation beside the River Wye and we enjoyed the walk beside the River. We enjoyed an afternoon cup of tea at the Drovers Cafe. However there wasn't much choice of places for evening meals (this may be because of the effects of re-opening after lockdown). The fish and chip shop (and apparently other take-aways in the town) only take cash and the cash machines at both the bank in the High Street and the Co-op were out of order. As tourists making their first visit to the town we did not feel well-catered for.
The town is beautiful and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. There are some lovely shops there, although not many as it is a small town, and some excellent pubs. It is on the side of a river and very picturesque. We will definitely be back.
We loved the stunning scenery in the surrounding area. We had some amazing walks and scenic drives through the mountains. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and some interesting local shops for browsing and buying.
we didn't actually go into Builth Wells, the main reason for our trip was to visit Elan Valley which is stunning anytime of the year, Llandirdod Wells is one of our favourite places, the lake is so peaceful and lots of good cheap places to eat, Rhyader is also a nice place to visit all a pleasant drive from the cottages
