Went for a wedding in Bacup hotel was in a good location for us. Went by car but looked like there were plenty of bus options. Ate at reception so didn't try any of the local eateries but seemed plenty of places to choose from.
Beautiful hotel, lovely restaurants, amazing staff especially Rudolph who held an umbrella for me whilst my husband went to get the car. We had problems starting our car and Rudolph sorted everything fir us and got us to our wedding on time . Would highly recommend, we will definitely be back again from Wales to visit family and friends 😊
I love Burnley and the surrounding areas, there is so much history here, it is nice to see that a lot of history has been kept with museums and a working mill, for people who are interested in finding out more about their family history in this area it is a rich place of information indeed.
Did not like the location of property and the property was not as nice as the pictures on internet and the description of property makes the property sound alit nicer than it is and I definitely would not book this proper again and certainly did not think it was worth the rental price
Regent House is a scam guest house, it has permanent residents who make noise and slam doors until 3:30 in the morning, shared kitchen smelled of human vomit, room was tatty, towels threadbare, nowhere to even hang a coat or a chair, a joke, AVOID.
Having lived in Burnley as a youngster, I found it had changed considerably. It is starting to be valued and improvements are being made. Towneley Park and the Hall are particularly nice and used by visitors and locals. If you get chance visit the heritage centre at the weavers triangle, open weekends. This really sets the scene. Particularly keen on speeding so be careful!
My stay at this hotel was perfect. The hotel was really nice and clean, super modern and the bed was really comfortable. I didn't try the breakfast but the coffee machine in the room was a nice touch. I did eat at the restaurant which is across the road and that was really nice with a great bar area. The customer wifi was a little slow at times so I struggled to get any work done but next time I'll speak to reception and maybe there is another wifi I would be able to use. I'll be going back next month.
Had a lovely stay here. House was very cosy and clean, bed very comfortable. Host was very helpful and very quick to respond if we ever needed him. Good central location to Burnley, some good places to eat nearby we had chinese and banny's fish and chips which were very local. Also near to Pendle Hill and surrounding areas, all of which are worth a visit. We felt that the house was like a home from home.
It's was conveniently close to family whom I was visiting for a 40th birthday. And better than a hotel , we could all be together. Also the fact it was a much better price that booking a hotel. If it's available any time I want to visit family again I will be booking.
Burnley
Hurstwood Hall is a stunning building and offers an experience in itself to stay somewhere enriched with such history. The service that we received by our hosts was absolutely second to none and sets the standard in all areas so far as to say that it was remarkable.
Good choice for breakfast. Cereals, yogurts, a full English and toast. Full English with 'Burnley' Black pudding was very nice. Rooms very comfy with hospitality tray, tv, hairdryer, shower gel, my room was en-suite check hotel for more info.
A little gem of a hotel. Lovely staff, who did their upmost to make our stay good. Room upgraded due to availability which was a nice touch and was definitely the best room of the 3 that we saw! Quirky and an interesting place to stay.
