In the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, The Red Lion at Burnsall is a 16th-century inn offering an award-winning restaurant, fine wines, and a traditional bar with real ales. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were amazing. The outlook from the hotel was beautiful across the river and countryside.
Very attractive village beautifully situated next to a lovely old bridge over the River Wharf. The pub is very comfortable and serves excellent food. There is also a pretty tea shop overlooking the river area. A popular walking area, there is a well established woodland footpath along the river to Bolton Abbey with its tea shops and historical attractions.
A very pretty and peaceful village on the beautiful River Wharfe. Great for walking and a short drive to the picturesque Bolton Abbey, the village of Grassington and the market town of Skipton. Reasonable food at the Red Lion beside the bridge in Burnsall and even better at the Craven Arms in nearby Appletreewick.
Lovely little village. Easy to reach Bolton abbey and grounds. Great base for walkers. View from Simon's seat on a good day is well worth the walk. Disadvantage is that public parking is short when the weather is good
A great location for walking in the Yorkshire Dales, for trying out some great pubs and tea rooms and, on a sunny day, playing games with your kids on both sides of the river. A very beautiful place also to just sit and relax.
Everything was perfect. The location was great, opposite the river, the Red Lion pub was steps away, and it was very peaceful and perfect for us. The cottage was an absolute gem, comfortable and extremely well equipped, everything you could ever need was provided. Layout of bedrooms excellent giving everyone their privacy. Lots to do in the area for everyone, we enjoyed walks along the river, visiting local villages, eating in local inns and would recommend visiting Brimham Rocks £6 per car and Bolton Abbey £10 per car

Great location, super picturesque, lovely staff and excellent food and drink on offer. Short walk to the village centre, bridge and river - also picture postcard pretty. Bonus included (not that I had chance to use it) free use of other estate car parks and the spa down the road. Loved it, will come again!

The staff were excellent, so welcoming. Love the main part of the hotel, it's full of character and charm. The food is delicious. The riverside location is amazing, as are the views. The walk to Grassington wonderful. Can't wait to go back.
