We had a lovely stay here. The food was fantastic. We talked about the local mussels and Andrea got some in the next night which I had for dinner and they were delicious as were all of our meals. It is a local hotel with great views of the bay and really friendly people. I would recommend staying here to everyone. Paul and Andrea are great hosts.

The location is amazing, the house is very warm and welcoming (love the fairy lights outside in the dark, chickens outside in the morning). The house has been done up to an extremely high standard, the hosts are amazing (warm and welcoming, friendly). The room was warm, so comfortable, the bathroom was amazing. Excellent value for money.

The property was lovely and the view was incredible. The owners had recently renovated various parts of the house, including a brand new kitchen, so everything was very fresh and clean. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond with any queries we had. We would definitely stay here again for future visits to Shetland.

Great access to Muckle Roe, must see destination; lovely home cooking with farm fresh ingrediends (the lamb is a must); generous size, renovated room with modern bathroom; reliable regular bus service to other places in Shetland for those with backpacks, the isolation from town is a bonus, so relaxing; helpful and friendly service

A nice clean hotel situated on the waterside.

A nice clean hotel situated on the waterside. Very good staff who operated well under covid restrictions. The food was good and we enjoyed all our meals. Not gourmet food but good. Excellent selection of whiskies to try and a well balanced wine list.

I liked the location of the hotel and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel had just had new boilers fitted so it was very warm and stifling in the bedroom. The dining room could benefit from more lighting as it was quite dark

This hotel is a must stay in Shetland. So much history, beautiful views, comfortable rooms and super staff. The food and service is top class. Breakfast and evening meals amazing. Lovely toiletries in bathrooms.plenty tea and coffee. The bar is small and mightie loads to choose from, including a vast selection of whisky. Had a few in the evenings. Lush.

Wonderful location and striking historic building. Comfy large rooms with excellent en-suite facilities. Downstairs lounge lovely for evening pre and post dinner drinks. The biggest asset of this hotel is the staff. They were exceptional in every way. We were so well looked after. Service with genuine attentiveness and care.

Great hotel in great setting, the beds weren't the most comfortable and it's a bit tired in places, but the food is very tasty and generous, staff are friendly and knowledgeable about locally sourced food and drink. I wouldn't hesitate at booking this hotel again if visiting Shetland.
