Located in Camborne, The John Francis Basset Wetherspoon features a restaurant, bar and free WiFi throughout the property. The hotel has family rooms. The staff was really kind and friendly. The room was simple but quite spacious, and the bathroom was good as well.
Located just off the A30 in Camborne, the 3-star Tyacks Hotel is a charming 18th-century coaching inn in the center of Cornwall’s mining heritage area. It offers home-cooked meals and friendly staff. The staff was accommodating, room clean and spacious. My absolute favorite place to stay in Cornwall. I've already booked for another visit
Located in Camborne, 20 miles from Newquay, Bella Vista provides a shared lounge and free WiFi. There's a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. The room was so cosy, and very well decorated. It was a really decent size and much bigger than I was expecting. Our hosts were really lovely giving us such a lovely welcome and they were both so knowledgeable of the local area :) Breakfast was made to order and it was delicious! Great place to stay and great location if visiting the far end of Cornwall. Highly recommend and I am sure we will be back again!
Located in Camborne, 20 miles from Newquay, 'Red River Stables has a garden and free WiFi. Quiet location, lovely and clean with a few nice 'extra touches' on arrival. Dog-friendly, with plenty of walks in the local area. Log burner was welcomed after a day walking the coast path! Very comfortable and would definitely book again, ideal for couples with or without dogs.
The Lily Pad is located in Camborne. The property is 18 miles from Newquay, and guests benefit from complimentary WiFi and private parking available on site. Perfect location to explore Cornwall. Everything you could ever need for a mini getaway was provided which made our stay stress free. The lily pad was very clean and decorated beautifully, we will definitely be back!
The Roost is located in Camborne. The property is 21 miles from Newquay, and guests benefit from complimentary WiFi and private parking available on site. Belinda couldn’t have been more welcoming. First, as we arrived late, the property was left open so we wouldn’t have an issue trying to find keys. Belinda also gave my 5 year old son a guided tour of the owl and hawk’s living quarters which were just beside the property and also told him all about the parrot which was at the other side of the beautiful garden! You do not expect to see such beautiful creatures living right beside you on a stay like this and it was magic for a little boy to see all of this. The property itself was tidy, well facilitated and perfect for two people or a couple to stay in

We stayed at Camborne as it was close to relatives. The train station was a short walk as well so we used that to visit St Ives, Penzance, Mousehole and Lands end via train and bus. The hotel was great although it didn’t have a lift but a very helpful man took our luggage up for us.
Its certainly not a holiday venue. Not a lot to see. Vacant shops, the usual Wetherspoons and what I can only call some rather salubrious and dubious characters wandering around the town. Seem to be a constant smell of 'weed' especially at the top end of the town. There are some independent shops. Partner approached by a male stranger informing her of a new barbers. Not really welcoming to her. Matter of fact unnerved her. Costa Coffee looked as if it could have done with a good clean. Staff were very nice there. Not a lot more I can write about Camborne. I am sure there are places that would enlighten us but we didnt come across them.
Lovely people around. So many beaches and other beautiful places to visit around. It was lovely experience and wanted to stay little longer because the fun was never ending. Would go there again next year
Camborne is ideal as a base from which to explore the west of Cornwall. The day bus ticket at £5 was excellent value. It was easy to get to beaches and to walk in the local area. There was an amazing amount of history at every corner and learning about the tin and copper mining was very interesting.
An elegant, honest town which has a rich history of mining, sadly gone now. A friendly town with a good range of chain shops, local and charity shops. Main line train station and bus interchange to the rest of Cornwall, giving access to small villages and larger towns.
The Trevithick Day celebration day in Camborne is well organized and is a great day out for all the family. We have been before but not been able to stay late due to our trains home so booked to stay to see the whole days events. Very lively in the evening as well as during the day. Had fish and chips at Kath's Plaice, it was lovely, freshly cooked and good price for the amount. You can walk around Camborne as it is very compact, a bit hilly towards the top. There are lots of buses for travel further afield in Cornwall and a regular train service to Penzance and London
This is self catering and the cottage is well equipped, however who wants to cook on holiday so we ate out all the time - lovely places to find food in Cornwall and the farm shop nearby is wonderful, We don't have a four legged friend but they are in their element here with the grounds and Bramble to make friends with.
Amazing welcome and hospitality, exceptional hosts, the rooms were super clean, all the details well thought off. Perfect breakfast, great location for looking around Cornwall. Sue and Tony went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Definitely exceeded our expectations!
Parking was not ideal, there is no car park or place for hotel guests to park other than to find their own space down the street. If you could sort out a better solution regarding parking then the whole experience would be top-notch because everything else was excellent.
The building itself is beautiful. I liked the old/pub style. Breakfast was included and the quality was actually very good! And it's PET FRIENDLY! It was an amazing stay at the hotel
Very nice hotel
