Our host made us feel very welcome and was very eager to help if required., It felt like a home away from home and the bed was very comfortable, we had a great night's sleep. Cooked breakfast could be ordered ahead in addition to tea/coffee/juice and a selection of cereal and fruit.

We LOVED absolutely everything. Beautiful home, lovely room with a fabulous view of the farm and hills in the background. It was so calming watching the horses with their foals, sheep with their lambs wandering around. We even saw a fox wandering through the paddock (a novelty for New Zealanders, we dont have foxes). Sonja was the perfect hostess. Our room was beautiful, bed comfortable, shower good and breakfast delicious. Would have loved to have stayed more than 1 night.

I loved everything about this property.

I loved everything about this property. The location, the room and the host John . He was very friendly and helpful, cooked us an amazing breakfast. Our room had a balcony and the most adorable comfortable rocking chair and the sun was shining through the window, very pleasant. A short walk into town , car park provided right out the front door. Would definitely stay here again .

Castlederg, like many small towns is quieter than it used to be. Good supermarkets if staying self catering. A couple of take-aways and sit in restaurants. We use as base when visiting family in the local area.

Castlederg is not worth staying, because there is nothing to...

Castlederg is not worth staying, because there is nothing to see nor to do. It's a pass through village in the middle of nowhere. It has three super markets (big, bigger, biggest), several pubs/inns/bars, a few take aways and a Greek restaurant. It has also a few guys that race every evening down the streets with their tuned and loud and backfiring cars. In short: a place to stay away if you can find other accommodation somewhere else.
