Nicky and Frasier are wonderful hosts. They are friendly and very helpful. We stayed in the main house in a beautiful en suite with a balcony overlooking stunningly beautiful scenery including a stream and meadows. Our breakfast was excellent, and we had a private table with a great view as well. If you are looking for a great escape from the city, or traveling England in Dorset, this is the place to stay!

It was so charming and cozy! There was a wedding reception on so we didn’t get to spend time in the main bar but did really enjoy the grounds (sitting in the garden with a gin—☺️, the lounge was adorable and a cozy place to read for a while, the dining room wonderful). The decor was so sweet; the room (suite) was well appointed and very comfortable! The food was also just fabulous, especially considering my friend was vegetarian—she loved it as well. The best part were the staff though who were all just amazing. Friendly, sociable, super helpful and kind!

The farm house is spacious. Both rooms are ensuite. The hosts are very friendly, giving us lots of good suggestions on where to go for sightseeing and dinner. Very comfortable beds, very clean, quiet, and easy to find.

The Greyhound is in the gorgeous small Dorset village of Sydling St Nicholas (not in the town of Dorchester!). We were there to walk a section of the Wessex Ridgeway so the location was perfect for us!

Location excellent for overnight stop on the way to Cornwall. Will come back and stay for longer to explore the surrounding area. All food (breakfast and evening meal) were superb.

Nice walks convenient for doggies and humans.

Nice walks convenient for doggies and humans. A lovely play park for children in the square, a 7th birthday party was underway when we arrived, and the children were having lots of outdoor fun with Mums and Dads. Lovely character small village tucked away from heavy traffic. Lovely small cricket ground and many other community organised events advertised.
