This is a lovely hotel with a long history. We had a huge room with a very comfortable bed. It was spotlessly clean. The staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming. An excellent, cosy bar and also a huge beer garden at the back of the property. Overall, the food was good and breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here.

I confess that I did not know what to expect from a combination art gallery / guest house, but they work well together. The rooms are impeccable: well-designed and comfortable, with many nice, thoughtful touches. Lisa's artwork is a treat for visitors to the area, showing an obvious passion for the Cheviot Hills (through which I had spent the day walking before arriving in Wooler). The full English breakfast was a great start to my day.

Lovely, comfortable, stylish property with lots of thoughtful touches and great welcome packs. Our dog has never had such an amazing welcome box! Location was great, next door to the pub for a nice meal, and a very friendly village shop where we got fresh croissants on Sunday morning. Handy for visiting the lovely coast or going exploring inland. Excellent communications from the owner. I’d recommend without hesitation. Many thanks.

It's not a big village, but a very pretty one. and we were only there one night. I would think it would be a good base to explore some of Northumberland and for walkers. We were only there one night as we were heading up to Scotland.

A lovely cottage in a very quiet location but close enough to all of the local attractions. Very comfortable and well appointed. Great walks right from the front door and in an area where the clear night skies are absolutely wondrous.

The village of Chatton is small but perfectly formed. The Percy Arms would be a great place to stay for a few days and explore Northumberland- Bamburgh was 15 miles away and Cragside and Alnwick very close by.

We had a wonderful stay at Chatton. The cottage was just as we expected from the description and did not disapoint. It was spacious inside, immaculately presented and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well equipped and there was a fabulous shower. The cottage was perfectly situated for touring Northumberland. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Great place to discover the beautiful coastline and surrounding countryside. Alnwick Gardens a treat. Cragside beautiful even in autumn. Bamburgh Castle a favourite with its amazing beach. The smoked haddock chowder in the tiny cafe in Craster was superb. Dunstanburg Castle walk from Craster is a must. Fabulous views and a bracing walk. Ate in the potted lobster as a special treat - pricey but worth it. The little cafe in belford is a must as is fish and chips from the John Dory takeaway! Great value!

Quality throughout. In addition to the listed facilities a dishwasher and washing machine were installed. The on-road parking was not a problem being available right by the front door. The only downside apart from the Percy Arms any other eateries were several miles away .
