We love Chester because there’s places to visit. There’s lots of lovely shops. We love the walking that we do each day.The walks along the canal and looking at the barges passing is great too. There’s lots of lovely places to eat and pubs to have a drink. It’s a very quiet hotel and the rooms are cleaned each day.The receptionists are very friendly and helpful too. Can’t wait to go back again.
Chester is a city full of history, from walking the old roman walls to walking along the river or the canal, or even going on a river cruise. If shopping is your thing then plenty of shops and eating places with little hidden gems. Had tea/coffee in Odd Fellows hotel sat in garden area lots of spacing and heaters to sit under. Chester is very easy to walk around most things on foot and within short travel to Chester Zoo or Cheshire Oaks outlet park
Chester Riverside is Gorgeous with a park and lots of Good pubs & restaurants , Great for shopping inside this picturesque Historic city Lots of Roman influence with a big choice of accomodation . Parking can be tricky ,, I recommend you pre book online - lots of cheap deals .
Chester is full of history. It was a lovely city to visit. The cathedral was beautiful inside, the town attractions and shops were good, there was also a lot of choices of places to eat, drink and also the boat ride on the river was very informative.
Full of Roman history and wonderful architecture. Clean streets and a great walk by the river. Cafes where you can sit outside and watch the world go by. So much to see and do and just a short walk from one to the other. We're definitely staying longer next time.
Loved the Zoo just 10 mins from where we stayed & we loved the shopping outlet. A bit lost to where to go to eat in evenings and the first night we couldn’t find anywhere as new to area an ended up wirh a sarnie from shell garage.
Bed was very comfortable and room was so nice, which is a huge plus because it is not home. The Location was great and everyone we came into contact with, was so friendly and courteous. Rooms were peaceful and had no outside noise. Out of all of the places to stay, we were very fortunate to pick the best one.
Lovely room in building adjacent to the pub. Good facilities, found the kettle in the cupboard :) Great location as next to river but only 10 minute walk into town, we only stayed one night as little escape. Breakfast served at the pub, lovely view of river. Helpful, friendly staff who looked after us well.
I stayed here as they had a vegan menu. The evening meal I had was one of the best I’ve ever eaten away from home. So much choice! Only improvement I can think of was Ithat I was advised by staff on my arrival that this did not extend to breakfast. So I had to miss this.
Everything was excellent....from arriving at Hotel to departure. Room was brilliant ...a lovely surprise as we where celabrating our 52nd Wedding Anniverary. All staff need to be thanked for their attention to detail and friendliness. A big thank you to all...well done
