Nice place, not the best surroundings, but we enjoyed our overnight stay. The hotel, The Bays on Clees Road was unclean and smelled of dust and cigarettes. The owner, Landlady was very friendly, so difficult to give a negative update, but these are important things that guests, traveller's need to know as our stay wasn't cheap at£70.00 room only.

We found Cleethorpes just right for a short stay.

We found Cleethorpes just right for a short stay. The beaches were clean and safe. Pleasant walking along the prom. Loads of Amusements for the kids. We would go for a two or three night break again.

There was a lot going on around the area of the beach.

There was a lot going on around the area of the beach. Great walks to the south. A lovely boating lake, steam railway and good eating places at a reasonable price. We ate at "The Fez Restaurant" on the Sea front which was excellent, well worth a try. We also ate in the Brewers Fayre pub which was a lot cheaper than Fez, but really good. For breakfast we went to "Oliver's" near the pier on the Sea front and had a brilliant Breakfast sitting outside in the sunshine overlooking the sea. We visited the Kings Baptist Church on Sunday on the Sea front which was also really great, very friendly, lovely worship and a good message.

The Harrington is excellent value. We’ve been to Cleethorpes many times. We went at a quiet time so for families it’s better to go in season as there are more amenities available. Some areas are a bit run down but the people are very friendly and the beach is clean.Would highly recommend Ernie Becketts for fish and chips just sad you can’t eat inside anymore. The trawlerman for an excellent carvery.Love the little train along the seafront.

The promenade is my favorite place where you can do morning exercise. The cleethorpes area is quite and easy to go around with few restaurant bar, club and Evening entertainment. Watch out for the weather.

    A good seaside town.

A good seaside town. It was very busy on the bank holiday Monday but then was quieter. We explored on foot and enjoyed walks along the sea front. We enjoyed fish and chips from Papa's on the pier.

Beautifully decorated hotel, with parking and lovely garden to lounge in…plus right on seafront. Standard Double rooms were very large…plus many other bars/lounge rooms to relax in. The staff were the real highlight! Our group was looked after brilliantly…especially by Jayne who sorted our delicious cooked breakfasts! And the night porter who made us some lovely drinks.

The host was amazing, telling both me and my partner where the best places to eat were, where the cheapest and nearest places were also. The hotel was stunning, really clean and comfortable and so homley. Was an amazing weekend and highly recommended this hotel to anyone. Centeral to the main strip of cleethorpes and nothing bad to say about it.

Breakfast wasn't included but you were able to use kitchen facilities for making tea coffees etc that was there for your use. It was by far the best value accommodation I found in the area and you where right in the centre of cleethorpes within minutes walking so didn't need a car . Also bus stop to Grimsby on the doorstep.

For the price, the double bed and en suite room were excellent - comparable with a much more expensive hotel room. Host was friendly, helpful and never bothered me during my stay. Tea and coffee available from the kitchen. Not far from Cleethorpes pier, train station or local shops.

I arrived in Cleethorpes under sad circumstances and needed somewhere to stay for the weekend that would be a calm haven. The room was beautiful and peaceful, and beautifully decorated. The little touches like tea, coffee, milk were lovely and the host was attentive and thoughtful.

Great place to stay to explore Cleethorpes and the surrounding area, including visiting the seals at Donna Nook. Very friendly host and the apart-studio had everything we needed. Short walk to a number of good bars and local chippies as well as the slots on the seafront.

We had a very friendly reception when we arrived. The room was a lot bigger than we expected, the TV was actually a decent size and the en-suite was nice. The hotel was very close to the seafront and main area but far enough to not have loud noises outside.
