Overall a very enjoyable stay. The weather was awful, but you couldn't help that. My bedroom was fine, but some guests in our party had much smaller rooms. An alarm went off in the night. Lovely food and excellent service and facilities though. Just right for what we wanted.
Excellent breakfast. Quiet location. Dark skies. Very clean. Excellent attention to detail interior. A bit tricky to find without owner's directions...no house name at the top of the drive made our job harder.
I took five of my relatives, (who we were visiting) for a meal there, and they said they were overwhelmed with the quantity and quality of the food and service, and will mark it down as one of their favourite establishments although they lived 14 miles away from it.
It's very easy to find, being on the road towards Exeter, and worth looking around the old village with its ancient celtic cross. We met friends and ate dinner at the Devonshire Dumpling where the food is fresh and beautifully cooked and presented.
