The cabin was gorgeous, everything you could need was provided. The location is amazing with privacy to sit round the fire and admire the views. We were met by the owner who was very friendly and helpful. The directions provided to find the cabin were really useful. An excellent place, we loved it.

Very kind personal. Very good breakfast. The small breakfast room is very cosy and the whole place, room and the house is very lovely. That accomodation is what we wished for us on our journey in scotland. We can just recommend it!

What a gem of a hotel! A beautiful, historic building bursting with character and energy. We were greeted on arrival to the surprise of a room upgrade - fantastic! We stayed in room 15 which was beautifully spacious and very comfortable. The bed was super luxurious. The bathroom was huge and very well equipped, including a jacuzzi bath. The room was also a nice temperature.

The pod was bigger than I expected!! Everything was there. The bed was big enough and amazing. I loved the hot tub after hikingThe West Highland Way. You you can have breakfast in the Bridge of Orchy Hotel just go there in the evening en make a reservation for breakfast. If you want to have dinner in this hotel you have to make a reservation a few days before.

This place is a little slice of heaven and I’d honestly stay here again. So quiet and private, and a great little base to do some exploring of the area. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was beautiful food. The waitresses are so accommodating and sweet. We felt so at home and welcomed - nothing like old fashioned hospitality. The breakfast is amazing - so much to choose from and they cook it for you personally after you order. The room was clean and had a great bed, with a view over the water. I’d love to visit again - everyone was so kind and friendly. A beautiful part of the world and the views of Loch Awe were stunning.

Dalmally suffered at least 3 hotels and B&Bs closing or severely limiting their operations during Covid. However, Orchy Bank House underwent a complete top to bottom renovation during and just after lockdown and is an outstanding property, for one night or a week. The Loch Awe Hotel may be something of a Victorian relic from the 1880s but the rooms are comfortable, the bathrooms completely up to date, the food is good and the views of Loch Awe (you’re on the waterside) are among the best in Scotland. Stay at either place and Dalmally is a great option for exploring Argyll.

Quiet village off the main road but within easy access of it. Some guest houses, a railway station ( Oban to Glasgow line ), bus / coach stops, a general ( food ) store off the centre. No restaurant, cafe, food stands, pubs nor bars however. Walking paths from the quiet road to the Duncan Ban Macintyre monument, quiet side roads to Stronmilchan (Old Military Road ) and along the river Orchy. Easy access by car, bus, coach, ( care if walking along the main road ) to Kilchurn Castle and to the Kilchurn Castle Viewpoint on the side road to Inveraray.

Dalmally is actually a 15 minute drive from Ardbrecknish and there is a fantastic Kirk there you need to see. Some English home owners have their “private property” and “no trespassing” signs up which enrages me no end, this is my land and I’ll roam where I feel like it.

Stayed at St Conans Escape. Amazing location so peaceful with a beautiful view. Sunset and sunrise from bed just the best views ever. Property had everything you needed and plenty of wood on supply for the wood fire burner just help yourself. Loved every second of our stay didn’t want to leave. Oban only a 30 min drive and Glencoe was 50 mins. Kilchurn Castle 5 mins great sight and reflections of castle in Lochawe. Hosts were brilliant very attentive and kept us informed of the weather as it had been snowing even offered for us to check in a day later if needed.
