This historical town house is less than a mile from Darlington town center. It has free limited parking and free internet. First and foremost the staff were excellent friendly and attentive.
On the banks of the Tees River, this lovely 16th century coaching inn has a restaurant overlooking the water and 36 bedrooms, many with stunning views of the river and the grounds. Comfort and friendliness of staff. Location very enjoyable
This historic 17th-century mansion is set in 15 acres of woodland, a 20-minute walk from Darlington town center. With free Wi-Fi, it features a leisure center with an indoor swimming pool and a gym. Good evening meal and breakfast
Next to Durham Tees Valley Airport, the friendly, family-run Spa Hotel offers spacious bedrooms with attached bathroom with TVs and tea/coffee facilities. There is free Wi-Fi and free private parking.... Lovely size room, able to open window for fresh air. Obliging staff.
Darlington itself is much like any other similar sized town shop wise however, it does have the Head of Steam which is an outstandingly well organised and very informative small railway museum and a definite 'must see'.
Darlington Hotel was perfect for us. We used it as a starting point for some scenic rail trips. Tiny walk to station. Pauline and her helpers had everything spot on and the use of the kitchen was greatly appreciated.
I come from Darlington but live in Barnsley now. Darlington has & always will be my home town. It is constantly changing with the times but has evolved from the small market town into a friendly shoppers delight . The local transport has ALWAYS & remains very good. Easy train links to the rest of the country. Locally the SOUTH PARK is a vast area to discover, family & pet friendly, with a large lake & roller skate rink.
Good shopping area we visited the Dophine centre for softplay area for kids which I was impressed with then we went to Majestic Theatre for a pantomime (out of Panto season) it was fantastic and good cheap family entertainment firt time We have been to this theatre but will be keeping an eye on what's coming up and definitely book again
Plenty shops and good indoor market, nice friendly people, great cinema and busy pubs and restaurants.Interesting rail museum but just not promoted enough .Just a pity there is no tourist information centre, although it said on Google that it was in the Horsemarket but after inquiries at the Dolphin Centre there had been no tourist information centre for years. The library had a little bit information like bus and train timetable maps and walks.Great Town all the same.
The sunflower cafe in Buckton's yard is a quaint place to meet, and not expensive. Prezzo's in the town centre is very nice food - a little more expensive! Took a train to Saltburn and had a lovely wander along the beach.
The property is within walking distance to the town centre. The Pullman is a fantastic home from home stay. The 4 of us we're delighted with our apartment. It was beautiful, just as the photos shown. Spotless clean. Tea, coffee sugar, and bottled water 💦. Fabulous. Even emergency toiletries........ I genuinely, sincerely recommend these apartments. If ever I return to Darlington I would be upset to find the Pullman had no vacancies.... No where else could match up.
Everything was perfect .. from check in till check out, full hotel is spotless.. the shared kitchen is lovely, you can help yourself to a free breakfast ..the staff are really friendly and helpful .. even let us check out later to suit our train times home..perfect location for Darlington arena, which is £5 in a taxi or about half hour walk..
Nice comfortable room , great staff , especially on reception. Had evening meal in the restaurant , excellent fish and a , good selection of wines. There was a large birthday party going on at the same time but this did not interfere with the service. Hotel is 5 min walk away from shops , bars and restaurants
Hotel is undergoing some refurbishment and so far its looking splendid, décor very pleasant, comfortable bed, good sized room for our 4 night stay. Reception staff very welcoming and happy to help. Nice quiet location to chill out at but still very handy for the town centre and surrounding area access.
Hotel is centrally located . There are lots of bars and restaurants in close proximity , along with plenty of shops . The reception / bar staff were really helpful and friendly . Rooms are very reasonably priced . We dined out on this occasion but have had excellent meals here previously .
Gorgeous weather, riverside location, grassy banks with outdoor tables, several small patios for more private gatherings, loads of character in the hotel, very accommodating staff, great service, plentiful and tasty meals, clean rooms and comfortable beds.
I know all the hotels and B&B in Darlington. The Grey Horse have the great food. If the food is important to you (quality and quantity) this is the correct spot to stay. The staff is also amazing. I'll stay again in the future.
Great VFM, hotel has been refurbished to a high standard, room had everything we needed and was very neatly presented, pretty location, short drive from Richmond centre and most importantly a scrummy breakfast.
The accommodation was clean and comfortable and really good value for money. The hotel staff had taken on board feedback from an earlier visit and that made a significant difference to this stay. Thank you.
Staff was very caring and probably the best hotel staff I have ever experienced! Susan was very professional and spent time explaining the local area. Definitely will return in the future...
Lovely and charming village just outside Darlington. Quiet, friendly, well designed rooms. Exceptional breakfast and Richard who runs the pub/hotel is a fantastic guy.
Great family run hotel very friendly. clean rooms and a great cooked breakfast close to train station and town centre.steve the owner loves his hash browns 😂 see yous soon
Convenient for Darlington Centre - about 10 - 15 minutes walk. Good room with character - exposed beams and lots of space. Large bathroom with shower.
Beautiful boutique hotel - great location, immaculate condition- fantastic breakfast
Good value for money & very clean in hotel
It is clear the moment you open the door to this apartment that it was designed by an office interior designer, (more function full than characterful) grey's in abundance: grey bedding, grey walls, grey kitchen, grey blind, grey table, You get the picture, John Major would not be out of place here. It is however exceptionally clean, with a good layout and comfortable bed, another plus is that after the traffic dies down and all the thumping door closing ends, it is very quiet, and I would happily stay again.
The kitchen was fully equipped which made it much easier to bring the food we wanted without the extra baggage. The tv was easy to use and wifi was good and easy to connect to. Only extra note to other is to take matches if you are going to use the cooker.
Lovely size room, able to open window for fresh air. Obliging staff. Clean, easy parking, nice outside area. Relaxed atmosphere.
newly refurbished, excellent hospitality, and good honest food
Fab grounds and good fantastic
