Staff were freindly. Great. Location for what we wanted. Good value for money. We enjoyed our. Stay and would stay again close by to train station
Located in Dawlish, The Railway Inn features a bar, shared lounge and free WiFi. You can play pool and darts at the inn, and the area is popular for fishing. It was great, Gary and Tracy were excellent hosts, the rooms have been updated and clean. If you like a local pub were everyone is friendly you’ll love staying here.
Located in Dawlish, Lyme Bay House features a bar, shared lounge and free WiFi. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. lovely location just out of dalish town and less than a 5 min walk to beach and shops , exceptionally clean , great parking, greast host.
Blue Water Breaks - Dawlish Warren offers pet-friendly accommodations in Dawlish Warren, 11 mi from Exeter. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and free private parking is available on... Ruth was the perfect host. She offered to pick me up from the Train Station and drop me off, should I have needed this. As she didn't have anyone immediately after me she said I could leave slightly later.
Warren View offers accommodations in Dawlish Warren, offering a view of the surrounding countryside and the sea. Free WiFi and free private parking are available. Pretty much everything. Clean, well stocked, brilliant location. Loved it. So did our dog. Thanks!
Dawlish is a fantastic place to stay. It has lots of different shops, cafés., gift shops, beach shops, and most of all the stream going through the town with Black Swans, Mallard Ducks and moorhens etc. The baby ducks are kept in a heated viewing area until they have grown and then put outside in a covered area for a while. You can picnic on The Lawn. Gays Creamery sells fantastic pies, pasties and cream teas and much more which shouldn't be missed! There are about 3 beaches and Dawlish Warren is just up the road which has a fantastic long beach. As you can imagine I simply love it there! The only drawback is that there are hills in parts, but NOT in the town, stream area, the lawn and beach. I have taken a relation in a wheelchair there and it was very easy to wheel them around.
Dawlish Warren and surrounding areas are definitely worth a visit. Dawlish is a beautiful setting, very picturesque and the gardens are well looked after. A ride in the train by the sea is a must do. Teignmouth the next place on is also worth a visit, lovely sea front walks and plenty of shops. Public transport in this area of Devon is excellent, with the train and the buses.
Unfortunately the beach is closed for a few months, as it’s being worked on but you can go to Dawlish Warren beach. So we are unable to give a review on the beach but I would imagine it to be wonderful with easy access when it’s finished. The restaurant Reflections, is lovely. Excellent food and service. Would definitely recommend. The Brunswick is also good. The ice cream parlour near the river is superb. There are plenty of places to eat and drink. It’s just a perfect place.
If you care about railways, this is a must-visit place. Railway history (atmospheric railway, anyone?) and just the stunning sight of trains on the Sea Wall. Had a wonderful stay at the Blenheim and delicious meal at Gurkha, and can recommend both.
Dawlish was a super base for exploring further afield. We used the train service to Plymouth, excellent. We used the little ferry service from Teignmouth to Shaldon and drove to lots of other places. The small theatre was excellent and also doubles up as a cinema. Dawlish Warren has a wonderful beach and also a nature reserve. There are also shops and amusements to keep children happy. The brook running through Dawlish has a collection of wildfowl and the famous black swans. Plenty of cafes, takeaways and a few restaurants. The Chinese takeaway next door to the cottage was excellent for both food and service.
Lovely little place and a lovely area gif a walk. Bus & train service very good but the train station is not equipped for wheel chair users or the disabled. Not many restaurants and the pubs were not serving food in the evenings. There were about half a dozen pubs but no details available as to opening times or menu’s.
Location is excellent. Almost unbeatable. Room with a view, as expected from a previous visit a year earlier. Staff fine. Decor is very dated, I would say to the 1970's or 80's, but we knew what to expect from last year, and the hotel is great value for money. I don't think you will find a Dawlish hotel - or anything else in the nearby vicinity - with cheaper rates. Good views of the sea, especially if you have a room on the upper floors.
The staff are fantastic and we were able to book in a bit earlier which was great. The room is beautiful and very clean and has everything you need. We always stay at this hotel when we visit Devon and would never book anywhere else. The breakfast is amazing, there is a huge choice and lots of extras all included with the room. We stay in many hotels in the UK and this is by far the best especially the staff. Love this place!
Rob and Fiona are wonderful hosts. Very welcoming. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk, water etc and the home made cookies were a lovely touch. Great variety at breakfast, nothing is too much trouble. The sea view from our balcony was fantastic. Excellent location to Dawlish Town down the hill. Would definitely recommend this lovely accommodation in a beautiful house. Thank you Rob and Fiona.
It's been a while since we had a holiday so we decided to go to Dawlish Warren and saw on Booking.com these chalets in Dawlish Warren Holiday Parks. Lynn and Alan Shepherd couldn't of been more helpful when we stayed there. It was so nice I've already booked my next holiday there in October 2022. Highly recommended. Thanks again.
Great location. Only a 10 minute walk down the hill to the Warren and all of the amenities. Property itself very clean and well stocked with pans and utensils etc, and the added bonus of a full-sized fridge/freezer. Lovely views from the decking area.
Only had a light breakfast but food varied and fresh. Main problem was in finding the hotel when I arrived in Dawlish, as I don't have sat-nav, got lost but, I have to say that a stranger plus Ian (manager) were both very helpful.
Clean comfortable caravan with everything we needed for a 4 night stay with the dog. A short walk to Dawlish Warren beach and a good location to explore the surrounding area. Good communication with the owners and an enjoyable stay.
The property was very clean and comfortable. it really felt like home from home. it was in a good location within walking distance of both Dawlish and Dawlish Warren.
Overall the flat was adequate for our needs, nice and warm, nice location, some areas off property could do with updating.the key holder was very pleasant and helpful,
The apartment was spacious and clean. It was a great bonus to have a dedicated parking space for our stay in Dawlish.
The apartment was fantastic, comfortable and very clean. Best we have ever stayed at in Dawlish.
The room was a nice size for a family of 4, the location of the hotel was great
