Dent is an amazing little village in the Yorkshire Dales. We love the tiny cobble stoned streets where buses can't access, therefore retaining it's historic last century feel. There are so many great walks to take around the dales, that it draws us back again and again. There are local pubs in the area providing good meals as well as some great little cafes. The locally run museum is a must see - don't forget to leave room for some apple pie and cream.
A stunning location with great walks. The public car park and toilets were spot on. Had a great night with the staff and locals at the Sun Inn. The George and Dragon is well worth a visit as well. There is a lovely village shop with an exceptional B+B.
Dent is bigger than you think and has more than enough to occupy a 2-night stay. Both pubs are worth visiting but present a different image; both serve food. Walking and driving the cobbled streets is a rare and pleasurable experience. The drive in and out of the village is very scenic in any direction with plenty of passing places on the narrow roads. Fell walking is good but an OS map is definitely required as paths are not always clear. Overall another visit required to fully appreciate what the village has to offer.
A lovely remote village with wonderful walks, but beware the two pubs are awful. It is very difficult to get anything to eat in Dent especially on a Wednesday when the village stores are closed. Would recommend the Stone Close Cafe, but check on its opening days and hours.
Was nice clean hotel bed breakfast. But rooms to small for more then a few days stay.just basic really. Not much do in dent village. A few walks outside the village. And both the local pubs could do with a good clean in side.but if you got dogs running round barking in both pubs.it puts you of having food.a meal.
No complaints whatsoever. Keep up the good work. Room and ensuite bathroom spotless, bed to die for. Lovely evening meal sat in beer garden of The Sun Inn looking out over the fells. Breakfast second to none the next morning before checkout.
