Fantastic location, grounds a little over grown but beautiful. Hall superb with huge ornate chandeliers, bedrooms palatial including the bathroom. Staff friendly and polite, dinner was superb and breakfast had a large choice of edibles.

I cannot speak too highly of the owner Suzanne, we had a fabulous welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We had the fantastic apartment which had a self contained kitchen. The bathroom had a seperate bath and shower unit and was bigger than some hotel bedrooms! The presentation was impressive and a very high class of decor. The cleaning was to an ultra high standard and we were very very impressed. The breakfast in the morning is continental, we had enough food left in the kitchen to feed most of Church Stretton let alone the two of us! Due to me having problem knees it was impossible to walk into the town for an evening meal, it is very easy for an able bodied person. This location is ideal for people who want a peaceful night and want a base for sightseeing and walking!

A lovely room with such a comfy bed. The staff were very polite and informative. Excellent full English breakfast. Although there is no on site parking a pay and display is less than 100yds away.

If you want to stay in the English Countryside far from the...

If you want to stay in the English Countryside far from the madding crowd in a high standard property, this is the spot for you. Close enough to civilisation to not be remote but far enough to not hear traffic and urban noise. The hosts are really lovely people and very helpful. The property is finished to a very high standard with a TV and DVD player if you want it. We didn't really bother with it much, there's a much better view looking at the surrounding countryside.

Although it’s a quiet location it is only a few minutes...

Although it’s a quiet location it is only a few minutes drive to The Horseshoes pub which serves excellent food. The location is well situated for great walks like Carding Mill and Lyth Hill, plus Shrewsbury is only a short drive away.
