I was in Downham Market for a wedding and the Tree House was a wonderful place to come back to after a long day of travelling and then after a long night of dancing. The location was perfect, so close to the train station and to food shops. Take away places only a few steps away. The big TV was a nice surprise. Comfortable bed. Will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area.
Downham Market
The Savory features accommodations in Downham Market. Guests can enjoy city views. All rooms at the guest house are fitted with a flat-screen TV and a kitchenette. It was like walking into someones very nice house. Upstairs in the main area was very clean, the kitchenette had everything, the bathroom was stunning smashing, the bath was amazing. Netflix on guest on the massive TV (I always forget my password! So thank you) Plenty of free bits, biscuits, sweeties, tea coffees, even jam in the fridge. The only thing id suggest is a blackout blind for the main window, and either a small lamp in the bathroom for night times or the hallway light to work. Despite that, it was in the centre of town, with free parking next door, perfect for our brief stay.

The area is beautiful. The house was super clean and tidy. It was our home away from home for sure. Bradley was super welcoming and always had a smile on his face. We had an accident with the wall clock in the kitchen which fell out of the blue while my kids and husband were outside and I was studying in the living room.when we told Bradley he was so understanding and he asked if we were okay:) our stay over there is so amazing and we are definitely planning to go back again.

Quiet market town and worth a look around. Limited selection of restaurants within walking distance 2 supermarkets in the centre, Tesco and Morrisons Leisure Centre 15 minute walk A number of pubs but a couple were not geared up to families in our opinion
It was a great base to visit other areas, plus a lovely village with a great stay at castle hotel and lovely meal at the local Italian restaurant. We will definitely going back to stay at The Castle Hotel and Downham Market. Haughton Manor was marvellous, great exhibition and wonderful gardens.
Wished we had been able to stay longer. Downham Market is close to Kings Lynn and Sandringham which are worth a visit. We at the The Castle in the bar with the locals fantastic atmosphere, food was good but I couldn't eat all my 12 roast potatoes that came with my meal. Great staff, made you very welcome would definitely return.
Saturday there's a great Market we enjoyed walking around the Many stalls especially the seafood stall and the many other stall's also the Shop's great selection of small to medium sized shops selling almost anything & everything.
Well served by good restaurants and useful shops. Titash and Downham Cafe are very good places to eat -- one Indian the other a Turkish menu at dinner. No problems with driving or walking around. Activities for young couples? Can't remember when we were a young couple!
Downham Market is small but quaint. There isn't a great deal to do and not a lot of shops, but it does feel like you are stepping back in time (compared to London, which is where we are from). There are several pubs, all very nice but The Whalebone seemed the most popular, family orientated, serving cheap beer and the food (pizza) was delicious.

We loved how clean and cosy the cottage was. It was so nice to be able to relax somewhere peaceful. Very close to shops and restaurants in Downham Market, and easy to get to other places in west Norfolk.
