In a beautiful, tranquil location in picturesque Drumnadrochit, beside one of the most famous and romantic stretches of water in the world, this traditional Scottish hotel dates back to around 1740. Loch Ness Lodge was a pleasure to visit. Good rooms and beds. Everything was clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast selection nd good food. I also recommend the restaurant. The salmon was wonderful.

Located in Drumnadrochit, 16 miles from Inverness, Craigmonie Bed & Breakfast provides a garden and free WiFi. We were welcomed with a delicious slice of homemade cake and glass of milk on a rainy day. Such a treat! Our room was very comfortable and very clean. Our hosts were very thoughtful to make us a reservation ahead of time at the restaurant across the street, which was perfect because we completely overlooked the fact that it was Valentine’s Day and the restaurants would be busy! We really enjoyed our delicious breakfast in the morning too. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Very piqturesque quiet village. In good location for both Loch Ness, Kyle of Lochash or Glen Affric visitors. Some good food, co-op shop and even decent chinesse takeaway. Will definitely visit again.
I was pleasantly surprised by Drum, which I have just driven through so many times trying to avoid the nessie hype, But the walks through the woods are really lovely, especially in May with the flowers and birds, both at Balmacaan oak woods and the alder woods down by the loch. There's a good free leaflet you can pick up at the start of the walks The new-ish Co-op is well stocked and very friendly, within walking distance of the rest of the village and there's a fair choice of takeaways
Out of season was probably harder to get around by public transport - we managed to get a taxi easy enough for a boat trip. Frequent buses from Inverness - around a half hour journey. Boat trips run from drumnadrochit during the summer (from april), but otherwise have to travel about 15-20 mins to another harbour and irregular bus services. Walkable to urquhart castle, and its a very picturesque and beautiful area. Perfect if youre driving, or have a bit more time to spend and dont have to pack everything in to a day or so.
The scenery was breathtaking. The food in our hotel, the loch Ness Drumnadrochit, was 1st class. The castle and its history are awesome. I recommend a visit to the loch Ness visitors centre. Drum is a place we will be sure to return too.
We have visited this area on several occasions and would certainly return. The scenery is second to none !! along with all the history attached to it. The boat trip via the Jacobite cruise company is well worth the trip as the view of Urquhart castle from Loch Ness itself is great.
Good location if you want to spend a few days in the area. Good choice of local pubs - we liked the Fiddlers Rest - and a well stocked supermarket on the outskirts of the village - good for Inverness, Fort Augustus, Loch Ness Boat Trips and Urquhart Castle......just bear in mind Scotland is a big place so if you want to tour around see this as one of your bases for a few days ....for example if you want to see the sights of Skye that is a 100 mile road trip each way.....we stayed three nights in Drumnadrochit then went down and stayed near Loch Lomond to tour that area.......I think for a week choose this as one of two at most 3 bases to go on trips from
Staff was very friendly. I happened to be the only customer for the night, and they kept the restaurant opened so I could eat. They also gave me a complimentary coffee upon leaving with a nice chit chat. I highly recommend this hotel, and even though I was the only customer there at the time (which was very unusual but to be expected at the end of October), i believe this is the place to be in High season in Drummnadrochit: they have their own bar, kitchen and live music!
- A lovely hotel with really friendly, chatty staff. - The rooms were lovely for the price you pay and the ensuite room has been recently renovated and looked brilliant. - The beds were really comfy. - The food in the restaurant and the breakfast was really nice. - Overall a really good value hotel with lovely staff. I would definitely stay here again if im in the area.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts, they made dinner reservations for us at the Loch Ness inn which we can also recommend. Really fast WiFi. Good sized room which was spotless and comfortable. One of the best breakfast we have ever had at a B&B. Highly recommend the pancake breakfast. Great location for visiting Urquhart castle or Loch Ness as well.

Everything. The location and views. The accommodations. The owners. The food. The recommendations for local sites and restaurants. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at your lodge. You both made me feel at home in your breathtaking home. Everything was perfect, including my downtime around the fireplace.
Drumnadrochit
The food at The Loch Ness Inn definitely made our stay. The chef not only produced great food but made no fuss of dealing with a Gluten Free diet. GF options were clearly marked and he also adapted other dishes. The restaurant and indeed the bar were very pleasant areas.

Urquart Bay B&B is beautifully presented with an outstanding view of Loch Ness. It was very comfortable. Annie and Simon are excellent hosts. All their food is home-made and grown and nothing is too much trouble.
Great hotel, food in the restaurant was great. The room was really big and had everything you could possibly need. Definitely worth staying at, a shame we could only stay one night.
