Located in the heart of Dunblane’s Cathedral Square, Old Churches House Hotel offers free Wi-Fi and an on-site restaurant serving traditional Scottish and British cuisine. We got a family room, which was actually two bedrooms together. Everything was wonderfully decorated and tasteful, and each room had a tea kettle and small biscuits along with the tea. The area is nice and quiet, and the house is just next to a cozy pub and the Cathedral. The entire family loved it here.

Dunblane is a lovely place to visit and the Cathedral is a must. Beautiful little high street with a superb butchers if you care to take anything home. Dunblane is a great place to use as your centre point as all the main attractions around the area such as Stirling castle, Wallace Monument, The Falkirk Wheel are all in a short drive away, and The Battle of Bannockburn.
Dunblane is a lovely little town. Quite peaceful. The Cathedral is worth a visit and is not far from the hotel. The Indian restaurant opposite the Cathedral is excellent. Walking down through the town there are a few cafes and restaurants and pubs all of which serve good food, drinks etc.
Pretty, quirky, peaceful and convenient with lovely places to eat and independent shops to visit and small enough to have a very pleasant walk around the main centre. Absolutely loved the location for amenities on the doorstep or by car within a short distance and is an excellent base for visiting attractions in the Stirling area or even if you want to go to Glasgow, Edinburgh or The Trossachs.
We have visited Dunblane many times. It's a beautiful place. Dunblane is technically of City status. In reality a lovely rural village/town. The Dunblane Cathedral is a 'must see'. The whole place is so tranquil ( apart from roadworks ).A day visit is worthwhile, not only a holiday destination. Then there are motorway links to Perth, Glasgow, Edinburgh, the Trossachs etc. Take a break, you will not be disappointed. Unless, you don't like the Countryside.
We specifically stayed in Dunblane so that we could dine at The Riverside Restaurant! Would wholly recommend booking a table there - for dinner or for lunch. We enjoyed the Christmas Special set menu. The next day we took a short amount of time to explore a couple of the gift shops on the high street, and continued on to the Deanston Distillery where the staff were extremely helpful. Well worth a visit. Just 15 minutes outside the town we also went to the Antiques Centre - lots of stalls under one roof to explore and find a treasure... with a little cafe on the side which had perhaps the best hot chocolate I've ever had - and have been craving since coming back to Canada! On previous occasions we also visited Doune Castle - pre-Covid this was well worth a stop. (Not sure that it's still open with current restrictions). But when we went, we listened to the audio guide and spent enough time there to learn all about its history and its more recent uses in the film/TV industry... and had time to try on Outlander outfits in the gift shop!
Lovely little Scottish town. Lovely food for lunch in " The Village" pub which was dog friendly and the landlord was so great with our wee dog, and even shut off an area so that she could wander about while we had lunch. Saw Andy Murray's gold Post box and went lovely walks with the dog. Only downside was the weather as it rained ALL day on the second day, but that's Scotland for u!!!
The location was great but the lovely warm welcome from the hosts really made for a wonderful 2 weeks. The accommodation was spacious, airy yet cosy. It's well laid out and the fab window really connects to the outside. Very well equipped kitchen and plenty of hot water for baths after a long walk. Great walks from the door and Dunblane less than 20 minutes away makes it well placed for exploring lots of the country. And our two wee dogs loved it!
Maisie’s cottage is part of an absolutely beautiful estate. The owners are delightful, welcomed us and we knew they were there if we needed anything but left us to our privacy. Just perfect. The gentle walk to the river on the estate and the lovely surroundings will remain a cherished memory. Plus this is a great location with proximity to Dunblane, Bridge of Allan and Stirling. We adored all three.
Absolutely everything! The owners and their staff are the most hospitable people we have had the pleasure to meet when away. They went out of their way for us. We booked 3 rooms, one with disability access for our friend, every room was perfect, clean, spacious and comfortable.. Dunblane was a lovely trip away, and we will all definitely be back to the Old Churches Hotel.
The comfort and beauty of the cottage and garden, the location of the cottage itself, next to the Cathedral and walking distance to amenities and the train station, and how close Dunblane was to so many sights to see, as well as the many walking paths outside the town and along the river. Also, excellent restaurants and cafes close by.
Enjoyed the views on the drive up and round the grounds. The hotel atmosphere was very good even with the social distancing in place. Our room was lovely and clean. The staff are so polite and very welcoming. Had dinner in the Cocktail Bar and it was really good. Plenty of choices and again staff were first class.
Lovely flat in the heart of Dunblane. Hosts were very easy to contact, arrival and entry to property seamless. Flat itself is extremely well kept and has all of the amenities you need for a trip away. Cosy, comfortable and great value. Lovely touch with drinks and snacks left out too.
Gorgeous bedroom - bed very comfortable. Spotlessly clean and welcoming. Situated a few hundred yards up the Glen Road above Dunblane - great for exploring the area and v quiet. Dedicated parking area and hosts close if needed, but not intrusive at all.
Apartment was well equipped and very clean. Bryan was very helpful on arrival and explained everything very well. Location was excellent for all Dunblane's shops/restaurants/bars etc. Would thoroughly recommend and will use in the future.
it was clean , bathroom was fab, we had our dog and there was plenty room for her bed a no carpets so the floor was cool for her as it was very warm while we were in Dunblane, also a very short walk to the park for her to have her walks.
