The hosts were absolutely marvelous, very warm and welcoming. And breakfast was amazing. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was clean and had all you need. The location is great, although it is a bit hard to find (but Leo was on the phone giving us driving instructions so we did not get lost!!). Would definitely go back if we are ever anywhere near that area :)

Wonderful place with very friendly staff. Julie and Zara were extremely helpful and offered to help in anyway. A warm welcome from the moment we walked in.
The room was an upgrade and had a lovely view of the lake.

A very beautiful place but we had gone with the intention of walking but unfortunately there wasn’t really any walks we could do from the site.
We expected to be able to do king signposted walks from the site across fields etc but the only one we was told about would mean walking along a lot of no pavement roads

This hotel is NOT for DISABLED!
This hotel is NOT for DISABLED!
This hotel is not for fine dining.
Room was always warm and well-appointed for able bodied folk.
This site is for pet lovers, able bodied. I was disabled so required to be driven from the room to and from the restaurant, as I said this is no place for the ambulatory challenged as much of the site is heavily large gravelled paths making it impossible to use my wheelchair. The fact that we were roomed up a graveled hill of steep incline, another reason we felt imprisoned when in our room.
As a note for all disabled people booking new hotels use booking agents AFTER you have spoken directly with site management.

Close to south coast if you don’t mid a 30 min car journey.
Close to south coast if you don’t mid a 30 min car journey. We went to Lyme Regis for the day which was cracking. We ate at a place called the waters edge cafe in Lyme which was spot on not cheap but you get what you pay for brilliant experience friendly staff and food was amazing it’s a tiny little place down a back street you wouldn’t even know was there. Seaton was nice for a walk as well early evening. Lots of shops near by and fuel stations. It is easy to get around dunkeswell as long as your not in a rush rural setting area of natural beauty.

There is gliding and parachuting in the local area and the hotel grounds are spectacular. For us it was just a base to break our journey enroute to a family funeral and it was within 30mins to the coast which made our stay at the Manor very pleasant.

There was a museum at the Aerodrome but we didn't get a chance to visit, this was recommended by others. The country side is very pleasant and we weren't disturbed by the aircraft. Quite central for looking around the area and didn't have any problems finding places to eat and see.
Was glad of Satnav to locate but happy with accommodation and facilities offered. Not obvious from prospectus that it combined hotel with lodges for family and fishing holidays around a lake and in an area designated of natural beauty. Could therefore be quite crowded. Undoubtedly good centre for exploring but car very necessary as quite out of the way. Excellent value at price offered.
The hotel grounds cover several ponds and with resident moorhens and a very agressive geese which can be amusing and threatening at the same time! Room is a bit small, but clean and comfortable. Food at the restaurant is very good, both for breakfast and dinner!
