The beautiful choice of style has kept with the era of time with all the class you could ask for, from the wall paper in the ladies toilet to the walking stick stand at the front door. The beer was cold. The wine had breathed. Food was delicious, the choice of 2 on the menu was a perfect idea. Up the stairs to an over night stay where the decor continued, Clean stylish and most of all comfortable. Breakfast is included in your room price. The choice from full English to my love eggs Benny Toast cereal porridge yoghurt juices and tea and coffee. There is nothing I can say about the staff they could not do enough to make you feel welcome. I think the best judges of a great venue are the patrons we met so many people laughed and chatted, great all round experience. Have been travelling for 6 weeks and is in our top 3.

Allison is a superb host, going out of her way to make everything perfect! She made sure we had food supplies, picked up our bags at the pub next door because the currier was confused, and made us feel at home.

I love coming back to Easingwold as I was born & bred there & my parents lived there until 1976. I left in 1965 to work in London & now live in Hertfordshire. My late husband & I had our wedding reception at the George in 1967. In those days upstairs was one big events room.

Really enjoyed the food in the George.

Really enjoyed the food in the George. The Friday Market is worth a look. It is a good base for visiting other attractions in the area. We checked out Malton, and also visited the Hutts Himalayan Sculpture Park.

A charming small town that is quite vibrant.

A charming small town that is quite vibrant. It has a lot to offer in terms of coffee shops and drink/dining places. On both days we were at Easingwold there were markets that were well attended and quite attractive. The town is easy to get to/from. York is not far away to the south and to the north the A19 takes you to other lovely towns, e.g Thirsk.

We love visiting Easingwold, the town is just lovely as are the people. It is very central to a lot of surrounding places like York, Harrogate, Thirsk and Helmsley. We love the free parking in the town and the pubs in particular The George Hotel is comfortable and the food is amazing. We bought some gorgeous chocolate from the autism shop and the lady who served us was so lovely. We had fish and chips from Jake's Plaice which was very tasty.

Amazing little place on the door step of Easingwold market place I booked this for my parents Monday to Saturday celebrating my Mam's 80th Birthday. Its ideal for my Dad who can't walk far now as everthing is on the door step. Helen and her husband have transformed this into a beautiful self contained apartment and we have booked again for next year.
