These hotels in Eastbourne are highly rated by couples: Port Hotel, Langham Hotel Eastbourne, and The Chatsworth Hotel.
Many families visiting Eastbourne loved staying at Devonshire Park Hotel, The Chatsworth Hotel, and Langham Hotel Eastbourne.
The Chatsworth Hotel, The Halcyon, and East Beach Hotel got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Eastbourne.
Loved location of hotel Found Shopping area a little tired To be fair only spent 2 nights in Eastbourne to celebrate a birthday taking into account time of year plus Covid think Eastbourne has a lot to offer
Loads of retired oldies wandering around. But also too many beggars, drunks and misfits lurking the precincts. Good shopping centre(s), better than Brighton's or Hasting's. Too many bikes and e-scooters on the pedestrian only pavements. Nearly got mown down by a father and son on an e-scooter when they drove it INTO Poundland. Easy to get buses to Brighton &/or Hastings.
This is a typical south coast seaside resort. parts of it are quite down-at-heel. The Pier has certainly seen better days. If you are looking for a nice sandy beach, this would not be it! It certainly lacks any of the attractions or the buzz of places such as Brighton. However, the public places, especially the beach / sea front / promenade, are clean and well-maintained. And there are a number of decent mid-priced restaurants. The Congress Theatre is very good, one of the best in south England in my opinion. Beachy Head is well worth a visit and a bracing walk.
A very well organised town that was kept clean by some excellent workers, who explained about the re-structuring of the beach. Great town with some very good and well priced restaurants, our favourite was the lovely Italian which was very good for both the top quality of their food and reasonable prices too.
Food is great at The Marine, a pub accessible by front door on Seaside Road or back/garden entrance on Marine Road. The portions are large and filling and always cooked extremely well, served by friendly and polite staff. The pier is undergoing new builds after the devastating fire to the amusement arcade a few years ago but The Victorian Tea Room is still open serving traditional sandwiches and cakes. The glass blowing shop, also on the pier is a sight to behold and still surprises you no matter how many times you have seen the glass being melted and shaped into intricate figures. The Pirate Adventure Mini Golf is a nice way to spend around an hour and the holes are currently undergoing resurfacing so look more attractive and fresh again. It is very easy to get around Eastbourne and is pleasant to walk from seafront to pier to gift shops then on to the new Beacon shopping centre which has a host of high street stores.
The beach is lovely. Beautiful views and great on the level walking which is helpful for those with mobility issues. The market was a little disappointing but possibly that is because of the time of the year and problems caused by lockdown. The gardens are well maintained. The Town Centre needs a little investment in it to make it more attractive for shopping.
Great seafront location, and close to the Congress Theatre as well as several excellent restaurants. The lobby and waiting areas are beautifully kept: you walk in and you'd think you've entered early 20th century luxury. Staff at the hotel were friendly and extremely helpful. The restaurants and bar had great menus, though the restaurant seems always to be fully-booked for dinner so I didn't get the chance to enjoy its cuisine!
Eastbourne
Very welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent locations - almost on the seafront. The Eastbourne sightseeing bus which is a hop on hop off service over the Downs and back to Eastbourne ( Beachy Head, Belle Tout, Birling Gap and East Dean) goes from the Lifeboat Station on the seafront close to the hotel. Public rooms are light and airy with different artworks - many for sale.
The hotel is nicely located on the waterfront, a little east of the main pier. Off street car parking was an additional small charge and was welcome, as it could be difficult otherwise. The room was large and comfortable, very quiet, and had lovely sea views. The bathroom was well fitted out, modern and spacious.
Beach front hotel with sea view room. Window from floor to ceiling... lovely! Basic but clean. Nice bar area. Pool table. Staff all friendly and helpful. Very nice breakfast which they had a deal on while we were there. All day parking for £1.
Excellent breakfast however sausages were of poor taste, staff were very hard working and friendly hotel looked tired in places situated on right on the seafront there is parking at rear I would say it value for money.
Large and comfortable old fashioned hotel about 20 minutes walk from town centre and 10 minutes from seafront. Large public rooms, comfortable bedrooms, good service. Free wifi and car park. Good value for money.
Eastbourne
Great Value for money. Very close to everything. Had a budget that the place matched. Don’t be worried about no parking! The hotel can sort you with a parking permit for the day. Cost 2 pounds.
Lovely clean and modern hotel. The sea views were stunning. Nice restaurant and bar. Excellent location right next to the seafront and plenty of restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay again.
Eastbourne
The apartment is in a great close location to town and the seafront. The best thing of all is the apartment. What a wonderful and homely place to stay. Best apartment in Eastbourne.
Hotel was super clean & the staff were super friendly and accommodating! I could recommend this hotel to everyone; definitely coming back!
Booked a sea-view room and was rewarded with a direct view of the pier and along the coast. Fairly large car park attached go hotel.
The best place to stay in eastbourne but little improvement has to be done as to improve the hotel but without losing its heritage
Great location and the hotel has been maintained to a very good standard given it's size and age. Staff were extremely helpful
The hotel was in a perfect location for the seaside.

The room has a fantastic view over the sea. If only we could sit on the balcony...
