The Bear Esher, hotel in Esher

This Grade II heritage-listed traveler's inn features free private parking and is a 10-minute walk from Sandown Racecourse.

The hotel was perfect and the staff was wonderful, especially the manager Jacob! We booked last minute after flying from the US and they had our room ready in less than an hour so we were able to get some much needed sleep. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. We will definitely stay here again if we ever get the chance!

The critically acclaimed Spanish chef José Pizarro opens the doors of his fourth venue to welcome guests in the beautiful town of Esher.

Our first time to England and the Swan Inn was exceptional! It was everything we wanted, to be in the history and culture of England! We enjoyed the small town down the road and the train station was very close.

Esher is well situated just outside of London.

Esher is well situated just outside of London. Central London is an easy train ride from Esher to Waterloo, I reckon it's less than half hour away. Esher has great pubs & restaurants and lots of lovely green areas. It's also home to Sandown Park racecourse. A lovely part of the world.

A lovely little town in Surrey.

A lovely little town in Surrey. Some very decent restaurants nearby. We also visited Cobham, Guildford and Dorking. There is a lot of British heritage to enjoy, and some charming National Trust locations in the area as well.

Nice high street with some very good restuarants , walking distance to Sandown racecourse and 20 mins from Kempton so perfect for our stay. Not far from shopping in Kingston and also the river Thames and the great walks you can have.

Esher is a compact town with a proliferation of estate agents and restaurants. We ate at the Cote Brasserie where we had a most enjoyable evening and, bearing in mind this was Esher, it was very good value. Getting around Esher on foot is easy but in a car is decidedly more difficult and parking can also be problematic.

I liked the fact that it is an old building and quirky. I hate modern Hotels where you are unable to open the windows to gain fresh air!
