Sandown Park Lodge is located in Esher. The hotel also provides free WiFi and free private parking. Location less than 2 minutes from the racecourse venue. Excellent service and friendly staff. Facilities better than expected. Quiet, clean and comfortable!
The critically acclaimed Spanish chef José Pizarro opens the doors of his fourth venue to welcome guests in the beautiful town of Esher. Everything from start to finish was excellent staff were friendly and food was delicious. Would definitely stay again.
Located in Esher, within 3.1 miles of Hampton Court Palace and 5.3 miles of Chessington World of Adventures, Albert Arms has accommodations with a restaurant and a bar, and free WiFi throughout the... Very comfortable room and although small was well laid out.
Located in the village of West End, West End Lodge is a 200-year-old property featuring a garden and free WiFi. Sandown Racecourse is just 1.2 mi away. The location was perfect for us as we were visiting family who live within walking distance. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Edwina always made sure that we had what we wanted and the view from the dining room into the garden is lovely. There is a pub very close by that serves delicious food and Esher is only a 20 min walk away.

In Claygate, The Foley has been a village pub since the 1780s. Now a traveler's inn, it has boutique-style bedrooms, a stylish pub, and a dining room. Wi-Fi and parking are free. Breakfast was great good choice and beautifully presented staff were brilliant at their jobs
Nice high street with some very good restuarants , walking distance to Sandown racecourse and 20 mins from Kempton so perfect for our stay. Not far from shopping in Kingston and also the river Thames and the great walks you can have.
A bit tight on parking but staff were very accomodating. Quality of food was of a high standard so was room and facilities. I am quite short the bath was a bit difficult to get out of and a bit slippery we stayed in room 1 We would definitely recommend the bear at Esher
Esher is a compact town with a proliferation of estate agents and restaurants. We ate at the Cote Brasserie where we had a most enjoyable evening and, bearing in mind this was Esher, it was very good value. Getting around Esher on foot is easy but in a car is decidedly more difficult and parking can also be problematic.
Esher is a really nice town with plenty of places to eat and sights to see. It's known for horse racing so some places have an equestrian theme. The train station to town is a straight forward walk and takes around 10-15 minutes. Cross the road and walk left from the station, go past Cafe Rouge on the right corner and it's a straight road to the High Street. Here you'll find all the shops and restaurants. The Albert Arms, where I stayed, does a nice roast on Sundays and the Giggling Squid does great Thai food. The Thai Green Curry is a must! There are plenty of shops too including a Waitrose for your grocery needs.
Good range of restaurants and shops, if a little expensive. Country setting but within easy reach of local tourist attractions such as Kew and Hampton Court, and London. Would recommend La Orient Chinese for beautifully cooked authentic food.
Terrible quality mattresses and very bad shower pressure not good enough for shower. Hotel room and bathroom have been upgraded probably at least 30 years ago according to the design of everything. Worst sleep in years traveling around the Europe and staying in different places. Springs in beds got into our ribs in both beds and our backs hurt for 2 days still since we left the hotel. Never ever again I book it.

The location was lovely. The front beer garden very relaxing. We enjoyed a few drinks and spoke to some of the locals and got a feel for the area. Walked into Esher and had dinner at the Wheatsheaf which was amazing. Breakfast at the Swan was lovely. Amazing shower. Lovely touch with the sensor lights in the bathroom, no need to put the big light on.
The room and public areas are spotlessly clean. The bar and beer garden are lovely and the breakfast was exceptional. All of the staff are lovely, very friendly. The hotel is in the centre of Esher, great access to surrounding areas, in particular Hampton Court ( 10 minutes) and Sandown race course.
After staying in some other hotels in a near by town that were of the some price I was very pleased to have a clean room, nice bathroom, comfortable bed and hot shower, all of which had been lacking in other places. I would definitely stay here again.
