Located in Filey, in a Victorian building built in 1846, offering a 5 star gold guest rooms. Filey Grange offers guestrooms with free WiFi. Friendly, comfortable bed, well thought out rooms - the connecting room for our teenager was great. The room and bathroom were very clean, plus the fridge and cereals, complimentary fruit, chocolate etc. Plus in town so a short walk to shops, bars, cafes and the beach.

We wanted a quiet two nights stay in Filey after visiting York for four nights, and this was the prefect spot, relaxing, very clean, lovely sea front and views. Shops and town close very close, Once parked up you can easily walk to the beach and town in a few minutes. Lovely parks. Coastal walk. We were lucky to have fantastic hot weather as well. Beach is sandy and shallow for a long way out. Getting around Filey is easy and scarborough and Bridlington and not far away in the car, both worth a visit. Everybody we met seemed very friendly, happy and helpful. Large Tescos in the town. Recommend Filey as a family destination.
Filey is so compact it is very easy to find your way around, there are lots of attractive gardens and plenty o benches for you to take e rest and admire the wonderful views of the coastline. There are lots of places to eat so suit all types of palate

We love Filey and the surrounding area , lots to see. And lots of great walks. A great base for visiting other coastal areas Sewerby is a lovely place . And a great pub The Ship inn serves great home cooked food. . We hope to retire to Filey.
Strange filled in a review on Downcliffe hotel but wasn't posted, maybe because it was negative. So only positive reviews are posted on Booking .com site If that is the case won't be using your site again.
Filey is not for everyone, as it has far fewer facilities than neighbouring Scarborough or Bridlington. However, if you are looking for a laid- back, peaceful location the quiet Victorian charm of Filey may well fit the bill. Perfect if you like outdoor activities, as there are numerous clifftop walks, and two major long-distance footpaths end here, St. Cuthbert's Way and the Cleveland Way. Inghams is a great fish restaurant- their seafood platters are the best!
