The location was brilliant - just a few minutes walk from the local shops and pubs. The room was lovely, nicely decorated and clean and the bathroom was huge with very powerful shower! Our booking didn’t include breakfast but said there was complimentary cereal. We ended up having porridge, a yoghurt and muffin for breakfast along with tea and coffee! We will definitely be back.

This charming family-run hotel is located in the beautiful Scottish Highlands, just off the A82 and close to the banks of the famous Loch Ness. Breakfast was incredible due to restaurant been booked out did not get a chance to have dinner, based on my experience with breakfast not surprised the restaurant is always booked out.

In a stunning location overlooking Loch Ness, this country house hotel offers free WiFi and charming guest rooms with private bathrooms. Free private parking is also available at the Inch Hotel. Great selection of whisky at hotel bar and very knowledgable staff. Big, atmospheric hotel with great view on Loch Ness from main lounge. Would definitely recommend staying there for at least one night.

We re-visited Fort Augustus to celebrate our wedding anniversary (we married in Fort Augustus). This place is very special with stunning scenery. The lochs are amazing. There are plenty of eateries together with a grocery shop, butchers, newsagent, post office and gift shops. It has a petrol station on the main road and has several hotels, guest houses and a couple of chalet parks.. There is also a large carpark.

We loved the open feel of Fort Augustus, you did not feel like you are on top of your neighbours. The staff are friendly, and I had the honour of meeting the owner, what a lovely lady. If I were planning on staying longer than two nights, I would certainly book for a bigger pod with kitchen amenities in order to cook. Other than than, I look forward to coming back.

Fort Augustus is a busy bustling location, lovely to while away time around the staircase lochs. Sit beside the locks with a drink from the Lock Inn, take a 50min boat cruise on Loch Ness, dine at The Boathouse beside Loch Ness or just wander around town and enjoy the gift shops and other eateries available.

My first trip to Fort Augustus was 23 years ago as a day trip. With that memory, we decided to stay for two nights on this occasion. The Caledonian Canal and the associated operations of the lock is every fascinating as it is a simple representation as to how human works with the nature for good. The Loch Ness is just a step away. Fort Augustus is a good base to explore both east and west of the Loch Ness.

The view was great and made fantastic pictures too. There were lots of nice shops, and lots of cafes and restaurants with tasty food inside. There is boat trip there, but I would try book it a few days early because it's very popular and seems to book up rather quick. The midges are annoying, but if you cover up then you'll be okay. I think it's a very good place to go.

Right on the southern end of Loch Ness, this is a small place with the added bonus of the Caledonian Canal locks which are really interesting to watch in action. There appeared to be lots of places to stay and several restaurants. We took an excellent RIB boat tour around the loch with Loch Ness Cruises.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful and gave us some sound advice on our next leg of our journey. Thank you! The accommodation was cosy, attractive and spotlessly clean our room had a view of the mountains. Breakfast was freshly cooked, with several options and very tasty. Covid guide lines were adhered to during our stay. We felt welcomed into their home.

Perfect place to stay after. along day adventuring!

This is in a perfect location very close to the centre of Fort Augustus with views over Loch Ness, it is beautiful. The room was a last minute deal and great value for money, comfortable and had everything we required. It also welcomed dogs in certain rooms as well which we needed.
