This apartment has the ‘wow’ factor. It is decorated to a very high standard and kitted out with everything you would expect in high-end accommodation. A huge amount of thought has gone into this apartment from the many design touches, to the practicalities such as hessian bag you can use to do your shopping! The bed is sooooooo comfortable. We slept very soundly. The bottle of wine, gin/tonic/lemon, crisps, milk, choice of teas and coffee and delicious loaf of locally baked bread and butter was a lovely touch. There are two directors chairs you can take outside to enjoy the views. The location is superb. In a quiet corner of Fowey but minutes from the town. Easy to get to Readymoney beach.

My family & myself loved everything about our stay at Mariners rock. The location was fabulous, only a few minutes walk into town. Carpark space too. The exceptional view from the balcony was amazing, we had a thunderstorm one evening and watching it over the sea was spectacular Every room was spotlessly clean, could not fault how clean it was. Beds were so comfortable, we all slept very well. The little touches that were there for us on arrival were so thoughtful, bread.butter, jams, teas, milk, a bottle of wine and a G&T. We have stayed in quite a few holiday cottages over the years and this was by far the best we have stayed in. Bathroom and ensuite were stunning, along with all the rooms. Communication was fantastic, helpful and very clear, all the information we needed. Totally recommend to everyone who's thinking of visiting Fowey. We all can't wait to visit again

Oystercatcher is the icing on the cake of a stay in Fowey. This little home, more than adequate for a couple, is the quintessential charming Cornish property, beautifully decorated and cosy and oh my, those views from each room. I was very sad to leave this little slice of heaven.

Fowey is a lovely very characterful little town with lots of history and a spectacular setting on a steep hillside dropping straight down to, and along the edge of the river estuary. The narrow and twisty streets are full of fascinating good quality shops, cafes, boutiques and galleries, and the little slipways and quaysides give wonderful views of all the activities on the river, the fascinating houses and villages on the opposite banks and glimpses of the sea. Fowey is an ancient harbour with several ferry crossings and it is the river and boats that give the town its special character. I stayed for 3 days and found plenty to occupy my time. If you enjoy exploring and finding delight in small attractions, or just being on a beautiful estuary full of boats, Fowey is an excellent place for a short break. You can walk along the lovely riverside to a small and popular bathing beach at the mouth of the river with impressive views, but Fowey is not a traditonal 'seaside' town - it caters mainly for boaters and lovers of history and literature, particularly with its Daphne du Maurier connection. It's small enough to walk around, but less suitable for people with limited mobility because of the many steep paths and lanes. The main car park is at the top of the hill, and there's a regular shuttle taxi service to and from the centre of town. I got there by catching the train to nearby Par on the main line between London/Bristol and Penzance. There's a connecting bus from Par station. It's well worth the extra effort to go!!

We loved the river front and views of the sea.

We loved the river front and views of the sea. There were quite a lot of places to eat and some shops and a small supermarket on Fore Street. On my husband's birthday we had a lovely meal at The Lugger pub restaurant.

Fowey very quaint with buildings snuggled together. Shops are very arty and interesting. Good restaurants. Marvellous views of the harbour which is full of interesting ferries, water taxis and yachts. Close to Eden Project which is well worth a visit. Car parking has to be in car parks due to narrow one way streets. They are up a steep hill from the front which is quite tiring if you aren't particularly fit or in the older age group.. There is a shuttle bus which could help with this problem depending on time of day.

Great beach to swim, gets the sun rise if you are up early...

Great beach to swim, gets the sun rise if you are up early enough in the summer. There is a very good deli for food if you want to eat back in your accommodation. Some good cafe's and restaurants to choose from . Beautiful views. Good walks straight from Fowey. We arrived by train and got a taxi from Par and didn't need a car once we had arrived. We walked to a couple of other bays to swim, which were also great.

An excellent place to have a base.

An excellent place to have a base. The property is very comfortable and has most things to make your stay complete. The bed is bigger than a King Size and so comfy. A lovely garden to relax in and if your lucky watch all the birds and hedgehogs coming to feed. Close to the main attrations of Fowey and any information if it is not allready in a purpoes compiled folder the hosts are allways very happy to help.

we had a fabulous week in Fowey and had kind weather. The Cornish village is great, welcoming and has some delightful places to eat and drink, and of course lots of Cornish ice-cream!!! We stayed in Ferryside Watch at the bottom of the village and the narrow streets were interesting to drive through! As a pedestrian, you need to jump into peoples doorways for cars and vans to come through. Very quaint.

Loved the situation, lots of mature planting and not too close to neighbouring properties. Very comfortable beds and lovely big sofa. Good, variable lighting so it could be reduced in the lounge area in the evening. Very well equipped kitchen, good bathroom with a powerful shower and an actual bath. Very easy to access Fowey town centre (down a very steep hill) as the town bus service stops almost outside by request. Great location for visiting the south Cornwall coast, Heligan etc. We also easily crossed over to Padstow, only 40 minutes run.

We had a charming and tastefully decorated room with a spectacular side view of the harbour from the large window. There was a good shower and lots of shelf space for toiletry items. The breakfast and sea view were excellent in the pleasant restaurant on the ground floor. It was a treat to be offered fresh fruit, yogurt and fresh croissants as well as a good choice of cooked breakfasts from the menu. The location was perfect for walking around the entire town of Fowey. Lots of great restaurants, bars and shops in the vicinity.

Hotel location was good as it over looked the harbour. Convenient for shops, pubs and restaurants. Room was fairly comfortable. Breakfast had a very nice granola, yoghurt and fruit dish but no other choice of cereal. Staff very friendly .
