Windy Harbour restaurant and accommodation is in the heart of Glossopdale Valley on the B6105, at the gateway to the Peak District. Lee was lovely and the cooked breakfast was fantastic. Glad I only went of the traditional and not the big as it was plenty.
Hawkshead Cottage is located in Glossop and offers a terrace. The accommodations is 0.9 mi from Glossop Train Station and 14 mi from Manchester. This could be the best cottage we have even been to. The location, the cleanliness and the attention to detail were just outstanding. Alan, the owner of the cottage, was really nice and made our stay so easy. We are definitely thinking about going back this summer to do another hiking route!

Within 12 miles of Manchester Apollo and 13 miles of Etihad Stadium Manchester, Fantastic 5 bedroom family home (brand new build) has free WiFi and a terrace. Amazing property, the host was very helpful and responded quickly to messages. The house itself is spacious, especially the kitchen. The living rooms and bedrooms were comfy and felt like home. Could not recommend this stay enough. It was a short drive to peak district and there are local shops nearby.

Lovely location, short walk into town with lots of amenities. Several pubs and restaurants with good food in easy reach. Beautiful park opposite
Lovely little town great central location for visiting other areas, great selection of pubs and restaurants, parking is a bit of an issue for overnights but if you ask the locals they are very friendly and helpful
The hotel is in a lovely part of the country and is situated in the centre of town with all facilities and was ideal for our party of 6 doing the Trans pennine cycle trail The Norfolk provided excellent secure storage for our bikes.
Our stay was to visit a family member who lives in Padfield we love Glossop and its little shops and the garden centre is really good for buying gifts to take back home they also have a coffee shop and there are plenty of coffee shops in the town which is also a fairtade town.
A perfect stepping stone to explore the Peaks or the city of Manchester.. with easy access to some beautiful scenery of hills, reservoirs, long fetches of water, wild flowers and open moorland, whilst in the town of Glossop itself, plenty of amenities, restaurants, bars and local retail facilities
Lovely clean country town. Great places to eat. Kwei Ping chinese Restaurant in Henry Street absolutely superb food and at present all you can eat for £13.80 per person. Great staff and very friendly. Try Norfolk Arms. Gorgeous rump steak and again lovely friendly staff. Plenty of lovely country walks.
The countryside is beautiful around Glossop and the fact that you can just pop into the town if you need anything was great. However, lots of shops closed down and a bit dreary and not that many dog friendly places. We ate at the Norfolk Arms, the food was lovely, the staff were very friendly and welcomed the dog, would definitely recommend this pub/restaurant.
Facilities were amazing, everything you could think of was provided and lots of eco friendly bits. The hosts had clearly gone above and beyond and the communication was excellent. It was cleaner than any hotel I've stayed in. I genuinely cannot say anything bad bad about the stay . It was flawless, comfortable and clean and cosy. Location is brilliant for walks but close enough to shops and Manchester.
Everything was exceptional. We enjoyed the breakfast options as well as the dinner options. We chose to shop at local businesses and support local restaurants over the course of two days, therefore, we didn't get a chance to partake in the hotel's dinner. But the breakfast was amazing.
Great little stay in Glossop, perfect house if you're a big group. We were 8 adults and had a lovely time there. Very quiet and spacious. Good kitchen equipment and nice living room area. Quiet and comfy bedrooms. Perfectly located in the city center of Glossop!
Really enjoyed our long weekend getaway at The Bulls Head -- the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and tidy, they welcomed our dog, and there are a number of beautiful walks nearby. Would highly recommend!
I particularly liked the view from the room and also the location of the hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and the food was varied and great value for money.
Ideally located in the heart of Glossop, central to everything but in a quiet location. All the creature comforts of a home, new and very clean. Julia was lovely!!
